Very busy, but very accommodating. Lovely friendly staff. Timely service. Not slow, but not over the top either. Beautiful views. Delicious, homely food. Good quality. ??

Popped in for a drink and food on a dull grey afternoon. Pub was busy and we selected a selection of small plates which arrived after a short wait. Food was delicious and good value, the Staff were very friendly and there was a lovely buzz about the place. We will definitely return. We spoke with the Manager and he said the menu changes a every couple of months.

The four of us were shown to a table and were pleasantly surprised to have drink orders served rather than queue and collect from the bar as in many other such establishments. We were slightly wrong-footed by the "Small Plates" heading on the menu but were assured that, in spite of this, portions would err on the generous side. And so it turned out. Four good orders of fish and chips were received and despatched and enjoyed. Service throughout was cheerful and helpful. The pub has undergone recent alterations but still retains character though general ambience could be improved with some measures to control noise levels when busy. All in all a good choice for lunch.
