I love this little hotel, it is in the perfect position and has a lovely pub next door. I used this hotel whilst visiting relations and is very convenient. Hotel is very welcoming, staff are extremely friendly and the rooms are spacious. Also, the bed is exceptionally comfortable with the room and ensuite cleaned and tidied well. Thank you for an excellent stay

Room was nice and clean with everything we needed. Staff are friendly and nothing too much bother for them-really helpful! . Location was just what we wanted-nice and quiet area and perfect for nearby wedding that we were attending. Would recommend.Food & drinks: Good pub/restaurant next door

Hotel a fairly old and tired P Inn, initial room had no heating, but reception were very helpful & found us another room.However...Food is at Greene King The Blue Cap was the worst experience we have ever had, Porridge was like wallpaper paste and not fully cooked (even for instant Porridge!); hot water in urn was tepid and the tea was dreadful as a result; staff were rushed off their feet, tables not cleared and all a bit chaotic.Probably best to avoid!Food & drinks: Dreadful. I am from Glasgow and this is the first time staying into this inn. Kudos to the front desk service, they were kind enough to guide me as I am new this location. In dinning they had variety of options. Thanks to Mary

I travel down from Scotland on business and often stay in this premier inn. Mary and the staff on the front desk are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and I have always had a good nights sleep when I have stayed here. The location is perfect for my journey to work in the mornings. The Restaurant next door has a tasty menu with very helpful and friendly staff. I’ve always had a good tasty dinner when I’ve stayed. Just what you need after a hard days work.

Overall this hotel was OK.Location was very pleasant and good for connections. However, it was a bit disappointing to find out that the pub on the same ground did not accommodate the meal deal arrangements nor would they use an allowance that was provided against my room. This would be understandable if the pub had no link to the hotel, but they did do the breakfast, so not sure why it cannot be arranged for the evening meals as well. The rooms were clean and it's a premier Inn, so you know what you are getting.
