Wonderful experience! We aren't from round here so we took a chance on the riverside inn as we were passing. First thoughts - beautifully decorated. We were then seated at the window looking out over the canal which was a stunning view. There were so many options to choose from on the menu. All 5 of us loved our meals!The manager came over to talk to us at the end and she was so lovely!100% recommend ?

Originally, I planned the booking for my wife and I to have a Sunday roast. When we got there however, there was braised lamb shank on the menu so my wife had that. Both our meals were piping hot and well presented we brought to us. We also like this setting as it caters for dogs and we were able to take ours on this occasion.Parking: It can be difficult to park but we seem to always find a parking slot at our visits.Kid-friendliness: It truly has a friendly family vibe. There were children in the restaurant on our visit, but not with my wife and I. The staff are always pleasant and very attentive to the customers wants.

Lovely Sunday roast, carvery style, loads of space so lucky not to book and just go on the of chance. Food good and even do doggy dinner. On the side on the river so beautiful views, would be good in summer sitting outside.Parking: To the the right of the building plenty of spaces.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair friendly.

A lot has changed since I last came in here. A time ago, the food was average at best, service was slow, and it could have been done with a lick of paint.But not anymore we went in as a large group last night, we turned up with one more than announced, which they were happy to accommodate.The food took a little while to get to us, but with there being nearly 20 people, it was a reasonable wait time, when the food came it was warm, tastey and looked good, no complaints from us.The staff were all friendly, smiling, and seemed to want to help, with no issues from them.Their decour seems to have a had a revamp as it was a lot nicer than previous visits, a more homely place to eat.10/10

We'll be back?'Just as good on our 4th visit!So we returned and were impressed by the courtesy of staff - in the face of being let down by Marstons head office with an incorrect opening times list on the website.Forget 11:30. They really do open at **noon**. Thanks Kelly and team!

The food was not great we had a table of 8 and had to ask for cutlery, The staff was slow and looked like they were all too busy talking at the bar. Not recommended.
Lovely pub with very nice views of the river. Service a bit naff as had to go find a waitress and ask her to take our order as she was busy nattering to her friend. Two older couples sharing a table next to us ordered their food at the same time and still hadn’t been served even after we had finished and were leaving. I heard one of them telling the waitress that they were starving. Felt sorry for them . We ordered Lasagna and it was served in dishes that must have just come out of a blazing oven , had to leave them for about ten minutes to cool down enough to avoid burning your mouth. Not much of an atmosphere about the place either , staff looked bored or fed up. Maybe we just picked an off night. Imagine is a different story in summer sitting outside overlooking the river. Would give it another go.

We were kept waiting over half hour for a child's meal and when it came it was not a good meal our meal the beef was truth as boot leather the potatoes were hot but hard there was no roast potatoes the food was not adequate for the cost of the meal I am disabled and at no time was I offered any kind of help by your server staff I have been to many eatery in Cheshire and yours fall well below par I will not be visiting it
