Chicken fried rice was burnt tasted horrible. Chicken curry had become one mass almost like a thick yoghurt. Overall food greasy and upset stomachs today even though left most of it.

All you need to know: about half went straight into the food recycling. But, let's start with the good. the person taking my order was efficient and friendly - a great start. Delivery driver was equally efficient - and arrived faster than expected. Then, there's the food. It's not bad - it's just not good either. The fried rice was over-cooked and verged on rice pudding. The noodles had a smoky taste to them, but not in a good way and then you see the burned bits.... There just wasn't much flavour there. Apart from the spring rolls - they were good.

O my god..... first time with a take away at the Slow Boat.... Rice was over cooked and food tasteless....1 star is too much. Threw in the bin and had a pizza....

Such a shame! Used to be the best Chinese in Northwich. Flavour isn’t there anymore. Been taken over by English girls that simply can’t cook Chinese food. Avoid unless you like wasting your money.

Disappointed. Asked for meat spring rolls, but instead I received one big spring roll with like two tiny pieces of meat which packed with bean spout. Really odd.The food was late and cold also.

Absolutely disgusting curry sauce looked like it was from the night before, ribs were like chewing on a leather boot, chicken toast wasn’t even cooked and the chicken was rock hard too!! Only nice thing was the cans of coke and it cost £50 for all of it ? had to order something else was inedible

Instead of picking the phone up, saying "hold please" and leaving the line open for 10 minutes eventually hanging up on the customer, just explain you are not taking orders. Its much quicker.

Been having take away from Slowboat for about 6-7 years, usually twice per month, Never had a bad meal, consistently good quality, delivery service is good, they give you estimate of delivery time and 90% of time its within 5 mins or so. Don't understand the bad reviews, makes no sense to us. We'd recommend every time.
