The restaurant was nice and busy when we arrived and we were promptly shown to our seats. The service from the young lady attending to us was great and she made sure we were well look after. The starters were lovely but the great disappointment was the rabbit pasta. It arrived lukewarm, it tasted more like chicken (was it really rabbit?) and was in a sauce that had a gooey consistency like Chinese chicken and sweetcorn soup. It was extremely bland. My partner however was happy with pizza. Standards seem to have dropped with people dining in tracksuits. Not the classy night out it used to be, but most places are the same nowadays. But it wouldn't harm the restaurant manager to smarten up either . Watching him using silent hand signals and eye movements to his staff was very off-putting to watch as a diner.

The only reason I haven’t removed a star is because the front of house staff were excellent. We were greeted in a very friendly manner as we arrived, and our waitress was lovely and very polite. We went straight to mains but we were brought bread and olives for free as they thought we had been waiting a while and apologised (I personally didn’t think the wait has been bad at all but it was certainly appreciated). The real issue was when the mains arrived. Two of us had lasagna, and two of us had mafaldine pasta with porcini mushrooms. The lasagna was delicious and there were no issues. The problem came when I took my first mouthful of porcini pasta. It was very gritty and sandy. This problem persisted with every mouthful and it soon became clear that none of the mushrooms had been cleaned at all (the other person with the same dish also had the same issue). We both ate most of the pasta (and just left the mushrooms) as the flavour of the dish itself was excellent; the only problem was the mushrooms not being cleaned off. I reported the problem to our waitress who went and informed the chef (I told her I didn’t want a replacement or anything, just that the chef should know). The waitress then came back to us and said that the chef assured us that all the produce was fresh from today (not exactly sure what this had to do with the mushrooms being unwashed). We did not get an apology or even an explanation for the grit in our dish. I can empathise with the waitress here, as I have worked as a waitress before, and I know how intimidating and rude some chefs can be to staff running food. I am not sure if a manager was informed of this problem but as we came to pay the bill, they had removed the desserts from the bill to apologise for the long wait time. I’m pleased they removed them, but I just wish they had acknowledged the real issue — which was not wait time, but the sand/grit in our main!

We had a table booked for 8.30 which we sat down at 9.40? And when the food came was poor to say the least.?? And as for the front of house was very argumentative?? I did have a lot to say about this , but to be honest we will never come to dine again in your place. I could say a lot more but have respect to jo.. very disappointing & I feel will come back to the fall…

Food terrible menu terrible and i was up bad during the night.Im sorry but i wouldnt even thank you for a free meal.We eat italians all over the north east and at our holliday home in spainSorry but this has to be the worst

It's a pretty little restaurant but as the ceilings are low, it can get pretty noisy. The restaurant was not full and when the coffee machine is on, it's difficult to hear your guests. The service was great - a good team. Sadly the food was not up to the same standard. The main course - Linguine - was bland. The spicy pizza had more chillies in it and I only managed half by scraping them away. I think the chef had definitely gone overboard......
This is hands down, the best restaurant in Hartford/Davenham. It is a secret gem of a restaurant. Everything that you could ask for; good food, good service, good wine, good atmosphere. We have been coming here for a while and this wonderful, intimate, warm place never disappoints. Please support our local businesses. You won’t regret it!

Visited Turturici for the first time since the pandemic, was a little unsure as to what the standards would be like, needn't of worried. The food was amazing, standards have not dropped at all. The service was top notch, nothing was to much trouble. Will definitely be returning.Can highly recommend it.

Great Food, Great wine. The Roggio del filare was recommended to me as a alternative to my usual red by Ben. We were not disappointed. Staff always attentive, Great atmosphere and excellent customer service. Turturici never fails to disappoint. We were a party of four, all had starters, mains and desserts. Excellent value. Definitely my place to go.
