Rude staff , out of items , when asked which sandwich was which the girl said you’ll work it out. I wanted to know so I could pass it to the correct person as i was driving. They also forgot my water bottle ….. the drinks we did receive tasted “ok”.

Really poor, unhelpful, customer service. Not my normal time to visit - so I’m hoping she only works during the day as she turned what is usually a pleasant interaction into the complete opposite. If I see her and her sneering attitude at the window again, I will be driving straight through without stopping!

I simple love Costa! I visit regularly and always purchase the Ruby Hot Chocolate, which never disappoints. They update the drinks menu regularly, which keeps it fresh and interesting. The food and beverages are slightly overpriced, but not unreasonably so. I recommend installing the app as you can get "beans"for each drink, and when you receive 8 beans, you are rewarded with a free drink. Better so, if you bring your own cup, you receive 2 "beans" on the app, which I think is excellent considering the state of the environment. It is very good that they are encouraging customers to bring in there own reusable cups instead of using throw-away ones. As well as this, there is the option to give your throw-away cup to an employee to be recycled. The cafe itself is nicely decorated, and has a lovely atmosphere with comfy seats. It's also conveniently located in the town centre. Overall, I adore Costa and look forward to my Ruby Hot Chocolate all day. I highly recommend it!!

Requested a Soya Frappe, to which I was informed that it would be prepared in the same containers used to do the standard frappes with cow's milk. Where I have an intolerance, this was a swift no.Clearly this wouldn't be okay. Not impressed in the slightest

Disgusting attitude of one member of staff at the costa at Sandbach has put me off using costa again!

As a nurse I could not be more mindful and respectful of social distancing rules. The idea is maintaining a safe distance from other humans not in your bubble at least a metre apart (Simple as). I appreciate how difficult it is for staff in coffee bars and restaurants to apply the rules and in most places staff deserve a medal. These are tough times for all of us, however there no excuse for any hospitality manager to treat customers like school children, which is how I and my family have just been treated in the Costa high street Sandbach. On arrival I noticed that certain tables were not in use and most of the tables had 2 or 3 seats. No one escorted us to a seat. No one asked for our contact details. I found a table that had 3 seats no one was sitting close. There was 3 adults and a child of 3 years old in my party. Not able to find a table wit 4 seats and no notice to say only 3 to a table I pulled up a small chair for my granddaughter to sit on. We purchased our drinks and appart from a customer sitting in the far corner and 2 people sat along the back wall who left shortly after we sat down there was no other customers were sitting in our section. We sat chatting and enjoying our drinks, after around 10 minutes a staff members approached us and stood within less than 12 inches of the back of the chair my granddaughter was sitting on. The woman TOLD her to pull the chair in to abide by the rules. My daughter pulled the chair in immediately. The attitude of the staff members was abrupt and her voice lowed enough for customers in the upper to hear. Polite requests are acceptable but this presumably the manager did not let the lecture stop there, she continued to repremand us for pulling up another chair to the table as this was in breach of the rules. With that we left the shop. She was the only other person encroaching in the space at this point but seemingly this was ok for her ?. Her manner was rude and uncalled for. I am not likely to be visiting a Costa coffee bar again.
