Decent enough for a quick pint but we did have to wait to be served as they were short staffed.Would recommend.

Everything you hope for in a pub. The menu was varied and every item we had was delicious and beautifully presented. There was a good choice of beers, service was spot on and the character of the building was second to none.

Fairly quiet midweek meal out, really tasty food, amazing building, semi-palatial toilets. No background music or TV - really lovely: enabled necessary conversation.

One of the most beautiful, and historical buildings you could eat in, and a lovely setting with the impressive church in the background. Great food well presented, nice staff and good atmosphere. Highly

Amazing 17th century, Grade 1 listed building so full of history! The food, however, was very up to date! Beautifully fresh salad with a lovely dressing, crispy ciabatta, warmed perfectly with bacon and brie and lovely cranberry sauce. A perfect brewed pot of tea, almost big enough to bathe in. Served with a smile and quickly, considering they were packed out. We will definitely be going back!Parking: It's a very old building ìn the centre of the town, there is parking, but it was busy when we were there, but there's free parking nearbyWheelchair accessibility: As an old building, please check with the staff
