We have just returned from a fantastic two night stay for my wife's birthday.The room was lovely, modern and furnished to a very high standard.The restaurant is very high quality with lots of areas you can choose depending on your requirements.Log fires and candles on every table. VERY dog friendly establishment.The food is exceptional quality and the service is brilliant. All staff were attentive and friendly. Breakfast is also exceptional with an extensive menu cooked freshly for you. Please note that the wait between courses can be a little long but this is to be expected for a large restaurant serving very high quality food.We loved our stay at the Bears Paw and all the lovely staff loved our dog Molly.Thank you for making my Wife's birthday so special.Food & drinks: Exceptional high quality food.Good variety of cask ales and wines.

Had a lovely early Mother's day lunch. My daughter bought her dog as well. He had his own menu and enjoyed his roast lunch.As always staff were friendly . Great atmosphere and excellent food.

We never leave bad reviews, and this saddens me to do this as I've been in the industry but it's justified ? Food was over an hour late, we understand it gets busy we were ok with this, but, mine and my daughter's food arrived, husbands and sons went to the table next to us. 3 waitresses, one with an terrible attitude came to our table, no explanation as to what was going on and took my daughter's food away from her whilst she was eating. My husband had to ask what was going on to be told there has been a mix up and we don't know how long it will be until we have our meals. There was one lovely waitress that understood us, the rest were awful. The so called assistant manager put it down to being busy and that was it, nothing else was done, no communication with his guests. No reassurance they would look after us again. Even our 9 and 12 year old thought it was terrible after being hungry and food being taken away from them! Please do not visit here when it's busy unless the managers get actual experience on resolving issues! Over £100 later and a Saturday night wasted, so disappointing!

Absolutely superb meal! The service was fantastic, the food was excellent. A really lovely experience.Food & drinks: A great selection of pub classics and more adventurous meals, really tasty, excellent presentation and tasted lovely. The wine menu was very good with great descriptions, also a large choice of beers, ales and spirits.
