“Great spot to grab some lunch on our road trip from Dublin to Warwick. Rustic, but friendly service and good food. Will make it a regular stop on that route.”

“We arrived rather late and officially past closing time but the ladies still made pots of tea and cake for us. Lovely cakes!”

“The trip here made our day. Nothing was too much trouble; the ladies loved their smoked Salmon Salad, and my Coronation chicken was the best I had ever tasted. The most delicious bread and the chicken filling was absolute perfection.
Parking: Poppy Lane Car Park”

“This is a great place for both pit stops on journeys off the highway/motorway and ad a base for walking on the canal. Interesting and thoughtful menu with new additions all the time.”

“30/09/24: Popped in for breakfast with friends and the obligatory mooch around J&S. Full English breakfast and a mug of tea is value for money and can set you up for the day. The decor is nothing special, but as it's predominantly a bikers' café that's not what it's about. The tables are big enough and spaced out well enough to be comfortable with biker clobber on, but it can get a bit noisy when it's busy and, as it's popular, it does get busy, especially in biking season. There are some back issues of bike-related mags if you fancy a read during your visit, and there is some outside seating for when the sun puts in an appearance, but this is a bit tired and could use a refresh.
Service is generally dependable, but can be variable and depends on who is on shift. We've always got what we ordered, but some of the staff have in the past been miserable or surly, which takes the edge off a generally good experience.”

“Paula & her team could not have been more accommodating in helping my mum celebrate her 90th birthday. Our party of 10 enjoyed lovely sandwiches, home-made sausage rolls and picky bits on the side. Washed down with lots of tea, coffee and hot chocolates. I cannot thank them enough for being so kind to all of us on this special day.”
