Cake was nice but small and expensive. £3.30 each. Coffee ok but needs to improve at £3.50 a cup. £13.60 for two. Our basic pension means this is once in a long time treat.

Friendly, snug coffee shop with great coffee and freshly made food. Went in early and it was buzzing not much later.

Very friendly staff, always remember me every time I go and my favourite place for a quick bite in Tarporley. The sandwiches, bread, cakes and especially the sausage rolls are all superb! Thank you :)

Visited ginger and pickles this morning and on receipt of bill felt as though I had just been mugged. Won't be going back even though I am a local. Food not even that good, my companion found impossible to get her mouth round the sandwich as the bread was too thick so most of it was left.

I have been to The Tarporley branch today for an afternoon tea with friends. The service was efficient and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious - the selection of sandwiches were so lovely and fresh and the cakes and scones were honestly out of this world. Free flowing tea/coffee and all for just £22pp what incredible value for money. We didn’t want to leave. Thank you so much x

Just a coffee and snack this time but a regular port of call in Tarporley. Highly recommended.

I've been in a few times when I've been on my bike. Food is always excellent and it makes for a great lunch and some treats to take home. Welcome is always friendly and its a pleasure to visit.

Always a great choice of excellent quality food but best of all are the staff. So friendly, helpful and thoughtful. My wife uses a wheelchair and we were made very welcome. We were treated with respect and made sure we had everything to help us enjoy our visit. Thanks ?

Wanted a quick coffee and to read some on line papers this morning. I'm very disappointed theres no wifi in G and P in Tarporley. It's so unusual these days that I didn't think to ask until I had ordered.

I was visiting the area as my niece and nephew live locally. What a lovely place to take them to for a bit of a treat. We will definitely be back.

Having read the many 5 star reviews we decided to have lunch here but as first timers we were not sure of the cafe ordering policy. No greeting when we arrived and on sitting down a lady came over and silently threw 2 menus on the table ( 3 of us). We waited a while after deciding and as nobody came I went to the counter to order. The lady was pleasant but the staff seemed more interested in not seeing customers! Our lunch arrived very quickly and the food was good but underwhelming for the cost £12 cobb salad £11 prawn sandwich!!I did notice that regulars seemed to receive a welcoming service unlike the unfriendly attitude extended to us.

Busy cafe in the middle of Tarporley, but despite being rushed off their feet service was friendly and kind. Especially the lady with her arm in a cast/support. Good food and coffee.

Very disappointed to get one medium slice of toast with Mackerel Pate, which cost ten pounds, and a bit of salad. My friend had a club sandwich which consisted of three slices of bread, with turkey, bacon, salad and crisps for ten pounds. Expensive Pate.
