Very enjoyable visit to this cafe for an excellent afternoon tea. Staff were very attentive and welcoming.

Lovely menu selection and food very well presented. It was very busy (12md on a Friday) but the staff advised that a table for the four of us would be available fairly quickly if we waited. She was correct (approx 5-10 mins). Service was very prompt and friendly. One member of our party preferred the breakfast options, but these were only available until 12md. However, it was 12.10pm but she still kindly allowed him to order the 'sausage doorstep sandwich' from the breakfast menu. Will definitely return!

We stopped as a party of 8 in Tarporley for an impromptu lunch and found this gem of a place! The staff could not have made us feel more welcome and were so attentive! We all ate different foods and I am gluten free and was served a delicious lunch. The whole party enjoyed the experience . Thank you !

Took our usual trip from Warrington to join in the Carols at the Church in Tarporley. Arrived for pre hot choc and cake but were told by the staff that they were closed. We could see an afternoon tea in full swing and a birthday party. It was 3.30 so I explained I’d googled and closing was 4pm. We were allowed to enter for tea and cake. My husband wanted a toasted tea cake but the ‘kitchen was closed’ Really? It’s just a toaster needed surely? I am gluten free but there were no gf cakes. Poor attitude from the staff. Definitely wouldn’t return.

I went to Ginger and Pickles in Tarporley for the first time, hoping to grab some food and coffee and find a cosy spot to work for a bit. But here's the thing – they don't have WIFI. When I asked about it, the lady got a bit defensive, like it's a common complaint and told me to talk to the manager about it. Seriously, in 2023, who doesn't have WIFI? Most places do, so it's kind of odd. Maybe they don't want people hanging around and working too long, which is an old-fashioned way of thinking. I usually pick cafes based on whether I can work there, especially when home isn't an option with noisy children running around. I understand the owner is tackling a problem that isn't there—a response driven by fear or apprehension. It's a shame, but I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone wanting to get work done because of the lack of WiFi.

Very disappointing. The service wasn’t great and this lovely cafe has definitely lost its magic. Bacon was over cooked and hard. The banana loaf was bland and a dry breakfast. The cappuccino was very thin and like a flat white. This cafe used to be incredible. It’s now overpriced and serving bland tasting food.

Like so many other reviewers I found the staff unfriendly and more interested in chatting than noticing customers. First time here and a bad start as the waitress threw 2 menus on our table without a word!! Eventually I ordered at the counter as I assumed that was the policy only to have a lady appear with a notepad long after I had placed our order. Our lunch arrived quickly, it was good and interesting although expensive. I would not rush back as the attitude and atmosphere is not good. Finally the lady in Ginger & Pickle Bakehouse (across the road) was so different friendly helpful and a pleasure to meet.

Superb lunch out with my mother, the food here is always excellent and the service and friendliness from the staff members is outstanding. The only gripe we ever have is how noisy it is and this is potentially due to lack of soft furnishings as everything echoes without. 5 stars for the food and staff in this gorgeous location

Excellent breakfast served very quickly and perfectly presented. A pleasure to see milk being delivered by a local farm!

A lovely stop off on a visit to friends. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was delivered quickly and it was delicious. The bread came from their bakery opposite the restaurant.

I'm seriously shocked at the bad reviews! Are some people impossible to please? We met a couple of friends for lunch yesterday and it was such a lovely place! The staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. I had never had oat cakes before and I was loving them! We will definitely return on our next visit to Tarporley as we have friends in the area.

Lovely atmosphere, we were greeted on arrival and made it a pleasant experience for tea and scones after terrible service at another establishment for lunch. Will definitely visit your Nantwich branch soon x
