We visited for my cousins 21st and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was so lovely. Driving there my mum had hit a huge pot hole, bursting her tyre. The staff were incredibly helpful, letting her use the phone there and chatted to her throughout. I'd definitely go back again.

Booked for my stepdaughters 16th birthday. The service was great, and the food was beautiful! Lots of choice and all very well presented. I will definitely be returning ☺️

A favourite place that didn’t performtonight. Taken to the waiting area and given drinks menus but nobody around at all to take the usual drinks orders which we soon resolved by sorting our own drinks out at the bar multiple times. Delay in our table becoming available and then asked to consider a starter as there was quite a wait for the food. 3 mains ordered, the burger was fine, a closed mussel served in the fish clay pot dish and the chicken kebab was far too small for the price with4 pieces of chicken on it. The £4 guacamole side was a generous desert spoon.Sorry to say that we won’t to be making the journey again. It wasn’t the specialnight we normally experience.

After journeying up and down the A49 for years and wondering about this eatery I finally had an opportunity to call in today for a very very late Sunday lunch. The sign outside said "Serving roast dinners until its gone"! Luckily for me they still had roasts to spare at 4pm. My friend and I opted for the 2 courses for £19.99. She had the salt 'n'pepper chicken wing starter which were excellent - the crispy coating on the large whole wings (none of those chopped in half affairs served here) was fabulous with a lovely chilli dressing and side salad which she enjoyed very much. I opted for the mushroom and Stilton bake, I think there may have also been a little mozzarella in there too because it was fabulously stringy as well as salty and stilton-y. It was delicious. We both ordered the beef roast which was an absolute triumph, in fact I'd go as far to say its the best roast beef I've enjoyed in years! Cooked to perfection, pink and melt in the mouth delicious, served with 8 vegetables - yes 8! I'm a veg fiend so love a roast dinner with sprouts, peas, green beans, carrot&swede mash, roast potatoes, cabbage, cauliflower cheese & brocolli and of course the requisite Yorkshire pudding and tasty gravy. The restaurant was cosy and comfortable and the decor enhances that. The restaurant was decorated for Christmas which brought an extra element of cosiness to our visit. The staff were helpful and attentive and the service wasn't slow apart from when we asked for the bill - maybe they wanted our delightful company for a little longer? All in all a welcome addition to our eating portfolio and I'll definitely be back with the whole family

I have visited here over the years and it has always been somewhere to go as a bit of a treat, bit of a drive out but always really great food and atmosphere. Unfortunately this seems to have changed, party of 7( 4 adults 3 children), service was very slow, we had to ask for drinks order and then ask to order food and it was pretty slow coming out. No one came and asked if we needed anything (more drinks etc). The staff themselves were friendly enough but clearly understaffed and rushed. The food itself was pretty average. For £170.00 for the table ( no one had desserts, 3 glasses of wine and a cocktail, the rest soft drinks and 3 of the meals children’s) the food was very average for the price. The place itself is still lovely and nice atmosphere but I won’t be in a rush to go back.

Me and my husband have been here a few times in the 11 years that we've been together. Our most recent visit was for our anniversary and was just as good as it's always been. The place is really beautiful inside. Makes you feel like you are eating in a really special place. Staff are nice and service is great. Food and drinks amazing as always. Recommend if you want to treat yourself as it is a little expensive but definitely worth it!

Have had better experiences at this restaurant on past visits. Our recent visit was disappointing.Food was good but service was very poor. Condiments etc I had to get up from the table and approach a member of staff to request only to be informed they didn't have what I requested (whole grain mustard...not an unusual item I would have thought).

We had a pleasant lunch here today. There were a few issues, but all in all, it wasn't too bad. The staff were pleasant enough. However.1. after the party ordering starters, mine didn't arrive.2. we ordered drinks and mine didn't arrive.3. after asking where my drink was and reordering a pint of lime & and water, I only got a half pint.4. we asked for a bottle of water 3 times until it turned up.Only small issues but once, twice, 3 and after the 4th issue. It needs to be said. With 16 in the party, a well paying table more attention to detail would have been aprieciated.

Great service and lovely people. We were a walk in with no booking and were none the less we were made very welcome. They made my mother on laws 80th birthday very special as she was recently widowed and not wanting to celebrate. However, the staff here just put those little touches to make the day special and we can't thank them enough, she was very touched as were we. Thank you!Parking: Lots of parking out front and also a parking lot to the side for overflow.

Probably the worst roast I’ve ever had, bisto gravy like water, roasties were processed, veg was mush and chicken had a very odd texture and flavour….. For £15 a head, it needs to be better. Wetherspoons is actually better, which is remarkable. Left most of it to avoid illness. Staff friendly, in agreement and apologetic on behalf of kitchen, wiped items off bill. Also 2pm on a Sunday, place was dead? 12 months ago you couldn’t get a table here…… change of management gone wrong maybe? Someone needs to have a look at the operation of this place as it’s clearly failing, which is a shame.

Had a great night catching up with a friend I've not seen for a while. I last came to Panama hatties almost 25 years ago, for me it hasn't changed with regards to service and food.... Fantastic service, food and cocktails. Hope to come back again soon.

We went for my son's birthday, his choice, a great restaurant which is both upmarket and very relaxedDietary restrictions: We had two gluten free in our party and both felt well catered forParking: Plenty of free parking at the front of the restaurantKid-friendliness: They seem happy to have kids

Lovely food and great service.I first visited here many years ago and the experience has changed, unfortunately for the worse. Hatties was a "luxury" eatery with staff guiding you to the lounge, take your order, and when the meal is ready, take you to your table. The bar was a hive of activity, with bartenders making and shaking cocktails in front of customers. The atmosphere was great. Its all changed. Don't get me wrong, it's still nice, but the cost is wild to experience something plain and similar to Wetherspoons. I'm not sure I'll be back, unless it changes.
