Booked for a meal tonight (Thursday) to meet a friend for the "Feast Thursday" deal. We arrived and were told that the offer is no longer on, despite still being listed on the website. Not happy at all, as this was the only reason for us dining here. Luring customers in under false pretense and then not honouring the offer after we had arrived.

Absolutely will never return to this restaurant at The StagI received my food after quite a long wait only to discover that I had not 1 but 2 long hairs in my food.I have to say they were apologetic but that doesn't compensate for the hair.I noticed that the kitchen staff do not wear hairnets if they have long hair.I am disgusted and felt sick

I used to love coming here before covid19. My husband and I were frequent visitors, even after he died in 2017 I regularly called in for lunch or early evening meal. I've not been for a while due to my very busy lifestyle and work schedule. I noticed on Facebook that they were starting to do breakfast at weekends and thought I'd give it a try. I really wanted to give 5 stars but unfortunately things did not go well. I have to admit they really went out of their way to make ammends but unfortunately first impressions tend to stick. I will in the future try again, and hopefully I can give 5 stars approval next time

First time at the Stag with friends, from walking into going it was a pleasure to visit, staff were very good together with the food will definitely be going back to try other meals from their menu.Keep up the great work.

We celebrated my partner's 40th birthday yesterday and all I can say the Stag is fantastic, the family love home cooked food and that is exactly what we got. Would highly recommend in a heartbeat and we will be back to try the new menu, thank you to the staff on the back of a busy period for taking care of

Booked to come here to celebrate 2 birthdays and it was just perfect. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food especially the lamb shanks and the moo pie. All staff was superb especially Andy he could not do enough for us all. We will be back again soon.
