Friends catch up Pre-booked.First time customers.Placed right next to another family when many other tables free in the room.Food was quick and good, however after 2 hours of chatting and eating and then declining desserts we were asked to vacate the table as it was needed. There were several other more desirable tables free including the one next to us.Tried it....not very welcoming.....won't be returning.

We visited as a couple as we do once a month. We were placed between a 40th party of I guess 20 people and a 60th of probably 40 people. Fine people can celebrate. We had our food but fancied a break from the loudness whilst we finished our drinks. We went to reception explaining we were going to the bar to finish our drinks but the lady said very sternly ‘you pay before you go anywhere’. This was so abrupt, rude and untrusting bearing in mind we’d just had a quiet meal amongst 60+ people and some understanding wouldn’t have gone a miss. I said we needed a quiet end to our meal and she said to us ‘people can enjoy their birthday’. Very rude lady and after the excellent food she needs to get a grip of her manners and customer service. So Pesto can address the matter she was the blonde lady, glasses with tattoos and very poor customer service. Food and service excellent but when we wanted to have a quiet drink we were untrusted and spoken to like we needed to fit in with parties. This member of staff ruined our visit, speak to customers correctly please.

We had booked place wasn't very busy four tables were empty. Our son arrived first and was directed to an empty room right by the toilets. He didn't want to be sat there and assumed it was because they arrived with children. After objection he pointed out he had booked so why should they sit in an empty room when there were empty tables elsewhere. Eventually the staff agreed to move them to the main area. That's when we arrived already they were ordering food. We ordered three meals each and bread sides. Most of the food was cold kids pizzas had sat somewhere for a long time they were left uneaten. The glasses we were given were filthy and returned them. The dishes the ice cream was served in were returned as they were filthy too so returned to the staff who overall were nice enough. Never again will we go to this restaurant not even for a drink. It's a far cry from what once was. We paid the bill and left unimpressed. We did tell staff about cold food dirty glasses cutlery bowls etc. We didn't make a fuss because it's rare we have a family get together.

We went to Pesto for New Year's Eve. I don't normally leave reviews, but we had such a great time that I just felt like I had to say some positive things. We go in for a drink here quite often and the staff are always really nice, but even so, when I came in, Steph made me feel like I was treated like family. It was such a nice way to start the evening. Jordan served our food. He was brilliant. All the other staff were just brilliant. They even got us up dancing. We enjoyed the dancing and the music. The only problem was my ferocious hangover on the Monday morning ?

We arrived and were shown to our table quite promptly. We had booked for a family birthday. I have a background in hospitality and have employed many staff over the years. Jordan was our server and he was truly amazing. He took our orders and as the restaurant is Tapas themed he had around 35 different dishes to attend to. He did this so easily and when the food arrived he remembered and placed very dish exactly where it was ordered without any written plan. He attended to us with the best service I have ever had. The venue and the ambiance were fine on our arrival but he made the whole event pass without any issues whatsoever. I have employed one person in the past as good as Jordan and he went on to become one of the best individual bar owners. His skill was beyond doubt and Jordan is as good as this guy. Well done Jordan for giving us a memorable night only 2 was after a hectic Xmas schedule.

Spent my birthday meal at pesto with my friends and family. If you want a birthday fuss. This is the place to be. The service was outstanding by our waiter Jordan, he was the best part of the night. Thank you Jordan for making my birthday so special. We must of ordered at least 40 small plates. Everything came spot on. There wasn’t any issues. The food was amazing as always. Had such a fab night. If you’ve never been here before it’s definitely somewhere you should try. Let’s hope you get Jordan as your waiter :-) thanks again.

Our first time there on our friends recommendation. Food was gorgeous, we all had 3 plates and we just about finished them. Very attentive service and we were served by Stacey. We believe Stacey had only been working there a couple of months but she was excellent. Really looked after us and made sure everything was catered for..Thank you.
I went 2 days on the run. Always service with a smile, nothing too much trouble, food is lovely and prepared to a high standard. It is now my go to place when eating out.

Really wonderful experience at lunch, our waitress StephW was professional, friendly and very knowledgeable about all items on the menu. The food is always excellent and value for money but without the five star service it wouldn't have been anywhere near as good. I would give everything five stars except StephW- she gets 10 stars*** Sue O and Marty D
