Whilst visiting on Thursday 30th June, I was accompanied by a disabled individual that I support who requires a pureed diet. I asked if I could blend a meal using my blender which I had brought with me - that was no problem. We have been here many times and had no issues with the service, which is why we have continued to visit. I then asked the new chef if I could have a dish to put the blended meal in, to which he came back with a metal bowl which can only be described as a dog bowl. It is appalling that he considered it appropriate to give this to any customer, but very telling that he chose it specifically for a disabled customer. I refused it and asked him for a ceramic bowl, like the regular dishware everyone else had. He went into the kitchen to get one and then sent out a female staff member in his place, with a ceramic dish. She asked if someone had upset me, to which I explained what had happened. She apologised on his behalf, but I'm curious if he would feed his family from the bowl? We won't be returning to somewhere that lacks basic respect for disabled individuals.

Diana was brilliant as a host and breakfast was lovely would definitely recommend coming into this pub for breakfast or lunch

2 of us dropped by for an early lunch - the staff were very friendly and professional - thanks to Kellie and her friend. We had the most delicious carvery that Ian served us ...everything hot and very tasty. Couldn't fault the food or the service - thanks.

We go for Sunday lunch regularly and always find it good with fantastic value. Today it was exceptional, everything was piping hot and fresh and the roast pork was to die for....I was enjoying it that much I was quite sad when I came to the end of the meal ! Well done Ian and his fantastic team....roll on next Sunday !

We came for a family meal for my mums birthday and we all had the carvery all of the meat was delicious, the roasties were perfect, veg all nice and chicken nuggets and chips for the little one were great. Dylan served us on the carvery station, he was very friendly and happy to help. Kelly & Jane who also looked after us were superb and were more than happy to help. (Great bar service as well!) We will be back for another meal soon!

I suffer with celiac disease so gluten is a no no. and they offered me fresh vegetables with gluten free gravy. The chef also went out of his way to make gluten free cauliflower cheese. Couldn't be happier ??
