Oh dear! Where to start about our local Asda in Bodmin? Overall, the store is NOT a pleasant place to grocery shop, despite there being one or two exceptionally charming members of staff. However, the shelves are often empty and, failing that, the few products on the shelves that are there, are hidden right at the back and out of sight - expect to crawl around on your hands and knees to find things, or seek help with unopened stock that's high up on the shelves and out of reach. There are always empty boxes scattered randomly on the floor and shelves, or large cages of empty boxes left in the isles making it difficult to get around with a trolley. Often, pallets and the dollies to move them are left in the isles. Also, watch out for staff who are fulfilling home-delivery orders racing about and pushing in front of you to grab what they want, or charging at you with the large carts which they use for the orders. Be especially careful that you don't crash into the staff with hand pallet trucks coming out from the doors next to the pizza counter and home-delivery trolleys crashing out through the doors in the cereal isles furthest from the main entrance. Promotional displays are often placed in the isles opposite one another, making it difficult for customers to get by and, because they get bashed with trolleys, seem in danger of toppling over. Customers appear to be of secondary importance in the store - it's rather akin to being in a very busy warehouse most of the time. Three questions: Why are the store managers not walking through the store regularly and seeing what a mess the place is, and supervising the tidying up? Could more shelf stocking by carried out before/after the store is open to customers? Is staff training in how to behave around customers being carried out sufficiently to maximise the profitability of the store and ensure customer loyalty? In summary, if you shop here, be prepared to swerve out of the way of all the clutter, unattended cages of cardboard and yet-to-be-shelved stock, inconsiderate staff with home-delivery trolleys, and items pushed at you at speed by check-out staff without regard to the contents, eg bottles of wine bashed into fruit or bread (one member of staff, in particular, to be avoided at all costs because of this uncaring behaviour). Finally, please don't talk to me about the lousy road access (not Asda's fault) - be patient trying to get out and don't be tempted to drive up the grass bank if you have a 4x4 vehicle, you'll get well and truly stuck - as one driver found out recently!

Have shopped here for years but have noticed in recent months the lack of customer service, fed up with having my shopping thrown through the checkout when I’m still loading it on the conveyor. Staff used to ask if you need any help, ask if you want the hangers for the clothes and ask if you need bags. Not like the service I received this evening where the lady just threw the clothes through, left me with a mountain of shopping to sort through, I had to unhang all the clothes and no space to put bags, and when I asked for bags she said she doesn’t have any and left me to look round other tills even though she was just sat there as she’d already scanned all my shopping through. Such a lack of customer service. They just scan your shopping through as quick as they even when you’re not even there to pack it away or have any bags then just sit there for 10 minutes watching you, waiting for you to pack it all away.

Have had quite a few meals, coffee there and have been well cooked good and nice but this last time was not so husband had full breakfast and toast when brought out I throught I would not eat that Eggs so rubbery and well done beans looked like they had been warm up quite a few times bacon just shown the pan then the plate sausages look the best and he eat them with his toast left the rest I was lucky had a sausages in a roll the sausages I eat but left the roll as very dry food not hot but cold The lady who served us was lovely so not her fault but think who cooks should check quality and that serve in warm to hot plates won't be spending any money there to eat so probably won't even shop there as we like to have lunch when out Also saw someone else send food back and that did not look nice at all

Extremely disappointed in this store, it has progressively got worse over the last two years!!! Delivery pallets everywhere, blocking the shelves, empty pallets in the isle, empty boxes all over the floor and shelving along with plastic from the delivery pallets and stock. No stock on the shelves even if the app says it is in stock, a lot of top stock products that would fill an out of stock space. Constantly having to get the stock from the top stock location so I can have the product I would like to buy. No sign of any management actually managing the floor and its staff. Health and safety nightmare!

A fairly large Asda supermarket offering a wide variety of groceries, household items and clothing. They also have a pharmacy, opticians and cafe. There is a large car park here with some disabled and 'parent and child' parking spaces available near the shop entrance.

My granddaughter and l are so disappointed with our pumpkin ? this year, most of your pumpkins were rotten and stinking by the entrance. We managed to find one of which we thought was okish only to fall in itself rotten to the core made a terrible mess and a waste of our money. You don't even deserve one star but l could not write a review without any stars.

Have always travelled down to this Asda but I've noticed over the last few months it's really gone down hill. Upstairs is the worst. It's like rummaging through t.k.maxx, a big jumbled mess, lots of empty kids shoe rails, lots of stuff in the "sale rail" with no price. Constantly having to ask staff the price of things. This week I asked only to find out its not in the sale its Stacey Solomons new range. Not sure how 5 of her cushions and two throws were on the sale shelf at the end of an isle... happens every time we go there! 4 members of staff upstairs of which I saw but it really isn't enough, needs a good sort out up there, feel like I'm in a charity shop. Downstairs not as bad but lots of empty cardboard boxes left on shelves or floor, there was spilt dog food all over the pet Isle this time we visited which still hadn't been seen to after checking out. Burst custard pots. Empty shelves. It's just really scummy! Shame because it used to be a lovely store. Wish id taken more photos and some of upstairs but you get the drift, it was like this everywhere, a bit of a mess.

Poor experience today. I tried to fill up at pump 4 with diesel and it dispensed a litre per minute. After 7 minutes and 7.56 litres I gave up and moved to the next pump. This pump gave me someone elses receipt for £69 when I had spent £18. I pulled into store and queued at Customer Services to alert them of the wayward pump. when I got to the front of the queue the lady told me it wasn't her department. I was a bit peeved by this time so went off to get my handheld scanner and the screens weren't working so I did a normal payment. I paid for my goods and as I went to leave the main store the chap on security asked me if I had filled up with fuel. When he explained further it was him I should report the faulty pump to, I promptly did. He told me that he knew it was faulty! Bizarre! As I approached the glass doors to leave the store they opened about 10 cm. The chap had to come and use force to get them open. What a visit, on my way to work so not the best time for all this kerfuffle. Why have CS when they say it isn't their department? Why have a faulty pump on the fuel court when it's not marked as such. Crock of.

Just like all other Asda stores everything you would need for a food shop and a few extra supplies

I have been meaning to ask for ages, why did ASDA stop doing the green tokens for the children to put in the charity slots on the way out of the store? Tesco still do it, and still promote it via an advert I just seen on tv. Its obvious people won't bother to do it online, especially children, it was all part of children's fun to take part in that, and it helped charities, bit stupid to do away with it.

Please find a member of staff to man the new bakery stand in the store. Whenever I go there, nobody is there to serve me when I want to buy something for my elderly Mother ?
