I was delighted to find this spot in Bodmin. We sat downstairs in a lovely sunny room, it was busy, but not too noisy, just pleasant. I had the eggs florentine which was delicious, and my Mum had the steak which came with spinach, mushrooms and chips. There is loads of choice on the menu, tapas, sandwiches, eggy brunches and then various bigger meals such as fish, chicken, steaks. The service was excellent, the 2 girls who came out were just the right level of attentive. I will be coming back here.

A proper old school, local pub! Its fantastic! It hasn’t been ruined with modern decor like so many disasters that please the masses…I was greeted with a smile and welcomed warmly into the fold. The fire was roaring and the King Arthur’s Ale is a belter! ?My dog was allowed in and was treated to huge dog treats. Thank you! Apparently it’s a dog treat per pint. Well…, it would be rude to neglect the dog of her treats!? ?? ?Didn’t have food but looking forward to bringing the family for, what looks like, proper pub grub. ? ?Great pub, great atmosphere, highly recommend! Popped in for breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful and the coffee and rolls were tasty. We thought it was a nicely decorated, cosy and welcoming place to eat and you could see that there are lots of regulars popping in which is always a good sign. We’ll definitely come back when we’re next in town.

Absolutely perfect, service was second to none. We turned up with no table booked. We walked into a lovely greeting, polite & professional. Shown to a quiet area of the restaurant, left to make decisions without hovering around. Food passing us to other tables smelt beautiful with plenty of spices filling the air. The menu was varied with plenty of options. Everything was piping hot and freshly cooked, even sizzling when placed on the table in front of us. Well recommended, if in the area again we'll re-visit.

Morrisons Cafe

The cafe it hit and miss and today it was definitely a miss. We paid £17.86 for a hot chocolate, a bottle of oasis and 2 full breakfasts. We then headed to get cutlery of which was dirty and needed to be wiped down, then we proceeded to find a table with our ketchup covered number. Nearly each and every empty table had dirty plates on and hadn’t been wiped down. After making space to sit down at out table and realising how dirty and grubby it was (as you can see in the napkin picture). I had then got up and grabbed the cleaning bottle and cloth to clean the table myself. We then had a 30-40 minute wait for our food. There was plenty of down time where the was no customers for someone to walk round to clean the tables, and after waiting 20 minutes someone finally done so. Once our food arrived at the table, the sausages looked like a dogs bone you get from pets at home, my egg looked undercooked and better yet A DIRTY PLATE! Probably won’t be coming back as it seems the cafe staff really don’t care about the customers or the cafe itself.

Not sure what happened during the visits of previous recent reviewers, but ours was very enjoyable. For reference, we went on a Friday lunchtime.Menu was limited but that's often a good sign, especially for a restaurant which has recently undergone a rebranding.We ordered the beef pie, the chicken salad and the ploughman's. Portion sizes were certainly appropriate for the price considering it is a tourist attraction and it all tasted lovely. The food even came in prison-style trays which was a nice nod to history!Service was faultless; a highlight. Both our servers were welcoming, friendly and attentive. Speed of service was ideal as well.The setting of the restaurant is a nice blend of the contemporary whilst still incorporating elements of its past.I would highly recommend eating here if you are in the Bodmin area. Empty trays all round!

Nice bit of breakfast. Make sure you get in early as the last order for breakfast is around quarter to ten. Kids eat free what was a bonus..The staff was very polite and helpful. The sweet and savoury came together so well and everyone inside was really lovely and polite. It was also nice that you can pay cash or card on delivery or in the shop. Will 100% be coming back ?? x

On Saturday the 16th of September we called in to have a look round and the changes that the new owners of the park have done is very good.We use to come to hengar manor every year for 2 weeks in September but noticed that it was going down hill. The last time we stayed was 2015. The place was looking shabby and seemed as it was not loved anymore.Well what we saw on Saturday we liked it that much we booked to go back again next year in September for 2 weeks and me and my partner can't wait

Having used this take away for years, the food has always been good, they haven’t gone done a modern route, and hence they don’t take card payments and the premises looks shabby, but the food is good. Since covid and the introduction of home delivery, their times for food are ridiculous for those not wanting home delivery as they seem to prioritise those customers over telephone collection and walk in orders, expect at least a foulrty-five minute wait for any food

Arrived 20 mins later & they were piping hot & ready to go! Lovely service & delicious pasties! Thank you, definitely helped on our journey back to London.

I've had several meals here and they have all been excellent. It was my Father In Law's birthday and it's the ideal blend of being busy enough to give it a friendly atmosphere without being too brash or loud. It's the perfect venue for family gatherings. We went as a party of 6, (4 adults and 2 juniors) and it was as good a meal as I could wish for. The Sunday roast options were small, regular and large. I've only ever gone for the regular which is generous. The beef was extremely tasty and I would highly recommend it. The staff are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. Deserts are delicious and again served in generous portion sizes. There's something for everyone from ice cream sundaes to sticky toffee pudding on offer.Parking: There is a free car park but not the easiest to manoeuvre about.

This is my 9yrs old favourite restaurant! Vietnamese curry is his go to. We all Absolutely love it here. The staff are really nice and welcoming, they work really hard to make the evening run smoothly. The food is just perfection, we have never in 2yrs had a meal that wasn't heaven on a plate. The vegan options are inventive, delicious and fantastic. Almost anything on the normal menu has been recreated as a vegan dish, which I absolutely love. It feels very inclusive and well thought out. So often vegan and vegetarian things are a second thought, but not here!! There is also a discount on Thurs for vegans!Nearby activities: Bodmin jail is nearby and absolutely fantastic, a really great day out for anyone.Cardinham woods is nearby and gorgeous, great walks and views.Camel trail, lovely walks, good views. Lovely bike rides.

Food was brilliant for all of us the staff were attentive and found out about allergens and very helpful throughout. The atmosphere was good. It is a nice cosy set pub in a small village and very dog friendly which is a must for us having come on holiday with the dog.... I am looking forward to returning in the future :)A side note to mention is that the steak was a bit overdone for my liking however with the chips and everything else being excellent I'm not too worried about this small detail.Overall friendly and attentive staff that were absolutely brilliant, atmosphere was good and the food was excellent.

With so many local places closed down for the winter it was a relief to find a pub open and serving food. It was a bonus to find an initiative in place offering reduced food on a Thursday, though I don’t know how long this initiative will be running for. The food was average, perfectly edible but not of restaurant quality. The beer was good and there were plenty of tables to choose from. We’d visit this place again if we were in the area.
