Usually would be a 5* however a visit this weekend had some slow service for ordering all elements, especially dessert. We asked for the dessert menu and then had to chase up the sever to order after about 20 minutes. Most of us had cavery, food quality was amazing, but there were a few items that had to be asked for as they weren't stocked up including some veggies and some meat. My friend shared it was more 'chaotic' than usual (relating to food available not business). We were there at 1pm so expected it might be a little busy. One of us had something from the main menu and usually we would be given a few minutes heads up that this dish is coming out so others can get their cavery with all food arriving at the same time - sadly this didn't happen on this occasion. One of our favourite places to eat and used to a really high standard from these guys so hopefully just an off week! Have already booked to come back in a couple weeks.Parking: Lots of parking but feels up quickly!

The Sunday Carvery is delicious, out of this world! The pub’s atmosphere is always welcoming. My family and I highly recommend it. Jack, Holly and Josh you are the absolute best!!!

A lovely truly local pub with no airs and graces. Good food, great staff and right on the Camel Trail. Dogs welcome too which is the most important thing for me.

Visited for lunch. Staff were friendly and welcoming. It was busy, being near Christmas, but we didn't feel rushed. The carvery was tasty and a great selection of veggies. Also tried the sticky toffee pudding, which I recommend. The open fireplace was a bonus that the dog enjoyed along with biscuits and a blanket. I'll happily visit again.

Popped in for lunch, was shown to a table by the waitress, order was taken promptly. Drinks arrived at my table within a few minutes and food arrived in about 20 which I thought was good as the pub was busy. Atmosphere was good and service was exemplary! Will definitely be back soon!Decorations are looking tasteful too!Parking: Ample parking spaces including the overflow car park

We had a good meal but the 5* rating is for the service provided by Alice. She was keen for a laugh and recommended the best food on the menu (beef lasagne and hunters chicken) she was warm and friendly and the food was just as good.

Great food and really dog friendly. This solo traveller and Reg the dig were warmly welcomed and Reg snaffled a few dog treats from the bar.The oven baked salmon and coconut rice were just what I needed, and the blueberry and ice cream Belgian waffle was divine.

Very welcoming. Friendly service. Food top quality. We passed our compliments on to the chefs. We were given space and time to enjoy our meals and never felt rushed. Likewise we weren't left hanging around to be served either. And it was quite busy.

Had lunch here and loved it. Great little pub with great food! What really made it though was our server, Alice. Very warm and friendly, and nothing was too much hassle. She made me and my wife feel very welcome. We plan to come back to celebrate our 25th anniversary and we certainly hope she’ll be there to greet us again!
