We went here for my Dad's birthday and we all enjoyed the food and drinks in the cafe. There were nine of us in our party but the staff were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the coffee flat white here - excellent. Bravo to all in this great cafe.

So disappointing. I had the worst bacon, brie and cranberry panini i've ever had here. The "panini" just a seeded roll. The bacon was undercooked 1 cm squares of bacon sprinkled inside and no cranberry? when i asked where the cranberry was i was told that the rolls came in already done? The unhappy women behind the counter eventually managed to find me some cranberry sauce but the roll was cold by then. The roll was tasteless and soggy My friend ordered double egg and chips which arrived 10 minutes after my panini and consisted of lukewarm chips, one hard egg and one undercooked egg. The building is lovely but the surly counter staff and badly cooked food means that we won't be back.

Best Cornish pasty we tasted during our stay, plus the cakes were lush as well. Pity it’s so far from home otherwise it would effect my waistline ?

Popped in for a early breakfast as no one else was open. Inside was a lovely room with lots of caricature and history. We had a full breakfast as well as a vegetarian breakfast. Both were lovely along with a nice coffee and good service. Thumbs up.

Tea was fine but toasted tea cakes were stale and hard. Expect the outside to be toasted and inside soft, I suspect they were a couple of days old

Absolutely shocking experience. They got the order wrong in 3 places, ordered chips with scrambled egg and a separate order of chips and fried egg. Both came out scrambled. Missing item from my pannini then when I asked to have it I was addressed by the rudest response if it hadn't of been I had two young children with me I would of left. The chips here uncooked, the service poor. Then half way through the girls eating they came out with 2 fried eggs clearly the cook needs retraining as they were burnt.Over cooked, under cooked. Poor service over priced for the quality that came out. Or lack of quality I should say. Completely ruined our lunch and our visit to Bodmin. They also got another 2 families meals wrong in the 20 mins we were they. Staffing clearly needs addressing here

Delicious bakeries, pasties are one of the best and have grown up eating them. Cakes and other pastries are also just as yummy.

Nice place for a spot of lunch. Sausage baps were great and Malcolm Barnecutt's pasties are the best in Cornwall!

Excellent food at reasonable prices.

The Tuna and Cheese Panini was soft and generously filled with sesame seeds on the top, it is really good! Also the fresh cream doughnut with jam on the top is divine.
