Just popped in for a couple of pints, as we have just moved back into bodmin. We haven't eaten yet, so will update the review when we have. But my impression so far is that it is a vast improvement on the last time we went to the weavers which was back in early 2021.

What a lovely place, great staff and service, we had a huge plate of Fish and Chips for New Years Eve Lunch and every bite was delicious ! A lovely warm bar with an open fire and great atmosphere.

Arrived for the locals night 3 courses for £15, upon arrival very disorganised and seemed that they had overbooked so was told to wait at the bar until 7, ended up being lead to our table at around 7:20 which was 20 minutes after booking time.sat in a very cramped side room, first course was a fried camembert, the inside filling of 2 wedges was fridge cold, not melted and strong taste of ammonia which also filled my nostrils.main course was good, opted for the cottage pie which was goodthe dessert was a brownie, also cold to touch and very similar to a Lidl bakery brownie which i believe it could have been.understandably it was 3 courses for £15 but i believe raw camembert which had such a strong taste of ammonia should not have been served in any scenario.we did receive a free shot for what i assume was due to being seated at the table over 20 minutes late.

Elsa Cristina PrataElsa Cristina Prata doesn't recommend The Weavers Inn.Just now 6Saturday 10/21, a large group of colleagues celebrated a friend's birthday here.the week before we reserved the place and food and we were guaranteed the space, even decorated for the occasion. Arriving there after 7pm we didn't have the place or decoration. We stayed where we were told with the excuse that there was a rugby game...so the place was given to someone elseFrom start to end we felt so unwelcome by the manager (Luise) in several aspects who was rude in manners and speech to us all the time.We felt so bad that there were 18 of us and shortly after 8.30pm we were leaving the placeso sad that someone manners or mood could ruined a occasion that was planned to be funny and peacefulwe all left very sad and disappointed with all experience? 2nd review with sadness of outcome ?In my review regarding past incidents with my group at Weavers on 10/21 at my friend's birthday party, you asked for details of the events for investigation. In my review I only shared the feelings caused ( and not all that happened) with the greatest respect and the conclusion is that I was immediately blocked from your facebook page.which leaves the question how and why of such treatment and how they ask for clarification when they exclude outright. regardsWishing you all the best

Fantastic experience. Waited over five minutes to be served and then the people who came in after me were served first. I walked out, and so would you. EDIT, have been back since and the customer service is a lot better. Happy to update my review.

It was my friend's birthday on Saturday, tables were booked a few days in advance and food for 16 people was to be served in the restaurant. After arriving, we were placed in a completely different place without any explanations, a very unpleasant unsmiling lady with purple hair made us feel very uncomfortable!!!
