We stayed for 1 night and we’re not impressed. The room was fine but dated and one of those rooms that just needed a bit more thought; like a kettle lead that reaches to a socket next to the tea set. What really put me off was the used sanitary products left in the bathroom bin, plus a few cobwebs here and there. The bathroom was dated and a low power shower that just annoyed me with its lack of power! Breakfast was good, but timings that we had been given were different to that in the room info. The hotel is on a main road, which is busy and noisy. The biggest issue is the cost for B&B - more expensive than most 5 * hotels. Would I recommend a stay - nah,

I was booked in with a large group of 30 friends for a meal. We had a lovely meal there. The service was well run, everything was served just right and very well presented. Here's what we had: -Poached Salmon and Asparagus with Lemon and Avocado Mayonnaise. -Noisettes of Lamb Roasted with Rosemary, Roasted New Potatoes with Spinach, Creamed Leeks and Spring Cabbage. -Strawberry Tart with Crème Patisserie – Clotted Cream. -A Selection of Cornish Cheeses with Artisan Biscuits. -Tea or Freshly Brewed Coffee to follow. There are various rooms for dining and we were seated for 7pm and done by 9.30pm. It's clean, the service was lovely, plenty of parking, delicious food. I didn't stay here, but the efficiency of the kitchen is a good indicator that the rooms will be well serviced as well. I'll be back when I'm next in the area and will try dining for just myself.

The pictures on the website are nothing like what the rooms actually are. We booked a standard room so was not expecting anything amazing however apon arrival the reception area was very dark and looked like it needed abit of updating. We were greeted well by the owners and shown to our room. The room was very small and had a few spots of black mould on the ceilings. We walked into the bathroom and the shower was very small we were just about able to get in to it. The ceiling in the bathroom also had some black mould. The kettle in our room would only work if we held down the switch whilst it is boiling which is clearly a health and safety issue you couldn't even barely get one cup of tea out of the kettle. The rooms could do with a good fresh lick of paint. We went into the restaurant area and was told there was no bar we asked to see a drinks menu and was shown a menu that is on the wall. We had 2 bottles of beer and a malibu and coke which cost £19 when we asked to pay we was told it had been put on our room and when we wanted to pay cash we was asked if we had the correct amount because there was no change. As for the pool on the site we expected it to be open between May and September as this is what we had read however according to the book in the rooms its only open when it's hot. When we looked at the pool it was completely empty and barley had tiles around it. Breakfast was included in our stay and we asked for some toast we were given 2 slices each that we had asked for but only 1 small butter portion each. My partner pick up an orange and apple however the orange had gone off and when he squeezed it was black and dusty inside. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again.

We recently visited, for a one night stay, with our 9month old pup. Really dog friendly.Lovely location, with lots of walks and dog friendly places to visit hear by.Room was nice, a little hot, so we slept with the windows open.WiFi was poor.Breakfast was lovely, good quality ingrediants. We would look to visit again to explore the local area and stay here again.

We were on the bargain break so food included and we were therefore very pleasantly surprised as to the high quality and variety of the evening menu and breakfast was excellent. The room in the main house was also clean and comfortable The staff were also all very friendly and helpful. Well located for Eden and Heligan and an hour from RHS rosemoor which is also worth a visit as is Lanhydrock House and Gardens nearby.

well where do I start, they certainly put the HELL in trellElLas. Dull, dirty and definitely not dog friendly. The man on reception (Alistar) was very very rude and unhelpful. In fact, crossed the line of being verbally abusive when enquiring about something. Actually told me to **** off. Strong smell of cannabis coming from the kitchen. Data protection breaches as client information and bookings left all over the desk. Toilet didn't flush, flies in the lights, ripped wallpaper, shower didn't work properly. Rips in wallpaper over the walls. Windows didn’t open. No atmosphere. No bar. Thought it would be a pub and restaurant but facilities only open for two hours.

Not quite whwt I expected more a quaint good quality B & B than a country hotel. The room was ok decent bed quirky shower over bath. There is a restaurant and the food is very goos and nicely presented. The breakfast was very nice and a decent choice. The staff were friendly and helpful. Reasonabl value for the cost.

Lovely hotel. Excellent service. Lovely evening meal and breakfast.Could take our dogs so a great bonus. To get 5 starSheets on bed creasedRadiator in room not workingNo chair in my dad's room to sit down, he's 87 a stool not enough.A lamp by the bed is needed in single room so you don't have to get out of bed to turn light offI would recommend and stay again.

Amazing place for a country side air, wonderful cottage and dog friendly with good value per dog.Having said that, you need to go out if you have a more active dog, and find a safe place to let off lead. So, the room was beautiful, the restaurant was wonderful, and the staff was absolutely perfect in any way possible, went beyond anything to make us feel good and happy. The food absolutely marvelous and attention to details. We had a wonderful surprise from staff on our wedding anniversary. I cannot fault them, it was just perfect. Thank you!! ?✨✨✨✨✨?

Staff were lovely, polite friendly and helpful, however, the room was exceptionally disappointing.. dull.. cold.. and simply the worst bed I have slept in.. let alone paid to sleep in, a serious leak from the room above. Wi-Fi was stated as available but where we were it was non-existent… worse still it was very musty… unpleasant, to start with we accepted it… we were booked in for two nights but checked out after the first night, to stay in a Premier Inn… I asked for a refund for the second night and was told it would happen, but the refund has not occurred, therefore the customer service is as poor as the rooms. The Premier Inn was cheaper and far far superior in comfort and facilities. I left my number… but have had no contact or apology from Trehellas… guess customer satisfaction is not that important..

Absolutely loved it here, friendly staff, our room was very comfortable. I can highly recommend the restaurant, especially the steaks, and not forgetting the Goats do roam wine.????

Lovely place to stay, friendly staff, delicious food the only criticism is the bedrooms need a bit of decorating.

I stayed overnight enroute to a dear friends funeral. The staff were friendly, helpful and inviting. The room was a good size, clean and the bed was very comfortable. I slept well. I also had dinner in the restaurant and so glad I did. The food was great for all three courses. I can also highly recommend the Baccus wine. Will definitely be booking here if I need to stay in the area again.
