The lodges are spacious with lots of storage and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen had all utentsils/crockery etc, and it had a fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. However, the lodge we stayed was really crying out for some well-earned maintenance. For instance, there was a nasty smell by, or under, the fridge (presumably something had been spilled by a previous occupier?), no light over the cooker and the fan really needed a good clean. The upstairs toilet did not flush properly. The walk-in shower upstairs had jet sprays (?) and there were no instructions to just take a normal shower and when turning knobs, they fell off making it very difficult to turn off again and select the normal shower type! Downstairs, the shower riser was broken so was not able to use the downstairs shower and also the shower screen was hard to open and close and the basin was loose in its mounting downstairs so it wobbled. I could not detect the fans working in either bathrooms although they were there and turned on. We would go there again if we were hard pushed to find something that way, but if any maintenance or cleaning issue arise on arrival, then we would insist they be dealt with during the first couple of days so we could make full use of the facilities within the lodge itself.

I didn’t know what to expect as I have never stayed at such a holiday park. We booked a three bed lodge with a hot tub and pet friendly. I am disabled and unfortunately the first lodge that was allocated had no car parking near to the accommodation. I spoke to Dean at reception and he very kindly allocated lodge 43 with parking directly next to it. Dean was very understanding and most helpful-thank you Dean. The lodge was nice and clean, the kitchen was decently stocked with utensils. It is a shame that for the price we paid that they don’t supply towels for the duration of our stay. The hot tub was very nice and a very welcome relaxation at end of a busy day. The grounds of the park are very well maintained and the reception has a bar, pool and a restaurant.

Disappointed again 2days in a row we were told the pool was out of order as locals we were looking forward to a swim after school we won’t be going back retallic resort will get my business lady in reception was very apologetic it’s not her fault but by 4 pm you would think the pool would be sorted only glad we are not on holiday there

What can I say!! An amazing place to stay with my family, the staff are amazing and friendly, the Sunday lunch was lovely and filling also, we had no issues at all with our lodge and the park itself was lovely, well looked after and peaceful, I wish there could be entertainment for our younger children who are 2 & 4 but we had the opportunity to go to the sister park, just meant no drink for me as had to drive ?. Massive thanks to Dean who called 2 days before arrival to check on some information and was lovely when we checked out, booked for next year just with a hot tub this time.

We had a great holiday at Bodmin holiday park, having previously been on a girls trip five year agos I’m aware that it’s changed hands and I did notice some small changes. Just little things, like no longer any local gins in the bar such as Tarquins which is something I would of liked to of seen. The restaurant seems to of changed from quite a formal one to more of a pub style and originally we were going to go to the restaurant for a meal on the last night but opted for fish and chips locally as the food didn’t seem as nice as it once was, also when we went for an evening drink on the first evening there was a large group playing games really loudly in the restaurant area and we felt it wasn’t somewhere we could relax while having dinner. The swimming pool and facilities were great, we really liked the idea of the 45 minute slots and booking the day before. We felt it worked well, and meant the pool was never too busy! The chlorine levels were just right, the swimming pool is small but great for splashing around. Just would of been nice if the steam room could of been switched on before the swim session so it could of been used. We had an issue with our heating and as soon as I raised it with reception they sent maintenance out as soon as possible and it was fixed really quickly which we were very impressed by! The lodge was nice, we felt it was clean there was just a funny smell underneath the fridge. There wasn’t any information on the website about one of the bedrooms being downstairs which would of been nice to know before hand so we could of told our daughter in advance and brought the walkie talkies! The bedroom doors were really tricky to close and open, our daughter got stuck in her bedroom on the first evening and had to really shout for us to hear her . We loved the whirlpool bath especially our daughter who’s never had so many baths! Walk in shower was great too, Couldn’t fault those! We took part in the family quiz on the last night and it was so much fun! Very clear that the lady who hosted the quiz had put a lot of time and effort into the quiz making it fun and entertaining for the whole family! We didn’t win but felt like the prizes of Tabasco popcorn cheap fizz didn’t match the great hosting and effort the lady put into the quiz! A prize for the children would of been nice too being a family quiz! Overall we had a very enjoyable holiday and would definitely recommend!

We stayed in the big house on the site and had no complaints whatsoever. The house was fantastic and spacious for the 13 of us. The kitchen, living room, garden, hot tub, bedrooms and all bathrooms were simply fantastic. The site itself was perfect and very quiet. There were 3 escape rooms, tennis courts and a footgolf. The escape rooms were brilliant and so much fun. There was a restaurant and bar on site and 2 weekly quiz nights were held in the bar which was good fun.

after reading a number of negative reviews i thought to myself probably over reacting boy was i wrong. we arrived and were given keys to villa number2 and made our way over we walked in to a musty smell the sofa arms were damaged ( not worn damaged!!! ) took a quick look around and returned to reception and requested a replacement villa . if we set to the replacement villa number 12 and this initially seemed better but on closer inspection the kitchen floor was all bubbled and covered in black mold marks the kitchen cabinets had exposed chipboard missing kick boards cobwebs in the window which clearly had not been cleaned , previous occupants hair was found under the dressing table hair found in 1 single bed , black spores on the pillow visible through the pillow case , stains on the sheet of the double bed so i got the soare sheet intended for use on the sofa bed and this was dirty too.as it was late we had to sleep on top of the bed as reception was closed , bath had a whirlpool bath wit out of use label on it . wash basin cracked dirt under bed and skirting was thick with dust. peak season and bar and restaurant closed tuesday and wednesday only open from 5 the rest of the week facilities on neighbouring park 20 mins in the car ( misleading info on park holidays website 20 min car drive is hardly neighbouring so no entertainment no arcade things we expected and having 8 tera old twins and 3 year old grand daughter with us very disappointed, made contact with park and was told it had to be emailed to resolve issues to get a response saying it will take upto 5 working days for a response , no use when your only there for 5 days we had a response on the way home saying that the email address i booked on was different to the address i had sent complaint via , i included all the booking reference and dates they have my phone numbers so could of called WORST HOLIDAY EVER avoid at all costs ! still awaiting a response from park holidays

Absolutely loved our stay for the week at the holiday park, so much so that we have booked again for next year already. Only downside is no kids entertainment at this site. Staff were fantastic and more than happy to have a good chat and a laugh ( Erika, Luke & Dean). The pool was lovely as was our Sunday roast. We stayed in number 53 and was very spacious for 5 Adult's and 3 children.

We stumbled on this place a few months ago when looking to book somewhere In Cornwall. We were not disappointed. We stayed in what’s called a villa a quirky 2 storey lodge. We were surprised how big it was, clean tidy, looked like it had had a refurb, even had a dishwasher and washing machine in it. Comfortable and charming. All set in lovely grounds, nice and quiet. Lots to do on the park. A few fishing lakes, which always seemed to be busy, foot golf, escape rooms, tennis, segways. A swimming pool and a really good gym, with some great equipment. A restaurant and bar. Although there’s not a lot of things close around, it is central, so a 20 minute drive and your at north or south coast. All the staff were helpful and friendly. We’ve already booked for next year so see you then.

We booked with a few days notice and value for money it was very good given the size of the accomodation. We stayed in a triangle shaped lodge which are surprisingly roomy. Down stairs had a big open plan lounge/diner - equipped with dishwasher/washing machine and even a vacuum! All was very clean. There was a twin room also on the ground floor with a huge ensuite containing twin basins toilet, bath with overhead shower again very clean but very dated. Up stairs (the stairs do creak!) The main bedroom has a double bed, storage and a balcony which couldn't be accessed ( I think it's more for show) but sadly meant that the balcony door only opened a few inches to allow a breeze in. The upstairs bath room was ridiculously big, a massive shower that had various functions and was great, a huge jacuzzi bath again amazing, twin sinks and storage. The only thing again letting it down was the decor but it was super clean. We didn't use the facilities on the park but the children's play area looked well kept and there were some outdoor tables overlooking the pond which was a nice touch. We did need to call maintenance out of hours, within 5 minutes the chap arrived and the matter was sorted - can't ask for better service than that. The park has a one way system by lodges however the poor signage towards the top end meant most cars ignored it. There were plenty of bins dotted around the site. With some fresh paint and tiles these lodges would command a much higher price, just please maybe ask your reception chaps to at least smile and engage with customers more, upon leaving the chap we saw didn't even speak !

Me and my family had a lovely time away for the week and Tash, Kat and Donna made it extra special for me and my partner as they helped me set up and marriage proposal for my now fiancé, I can’t thank them enough and we have stayed here the last three years and can’t fault them enough!! Thank you so very much from all of us.

Plus points- Nice large 3 bed 3 bathroom bungalow, could do with a little updating but on the whole was pleased with it. Site lovely and clean and tidy. However there was lots of rubbish in the grounds around the foot golf area. Very quiet and peaceful. Negative points- Nothing on-site was available to use with exception of the bar area after 5pm. NO restaurant which is what you really need when you book a holiday like this especially if you have had a busy day and you just want to relax with a meal and drink. Swimming pool was smart and clean but you could only use in 45 minutes slots as the lifeguard will get mesmerised but the water otherwise !!! NEVER have I heard so much rubbish. These slots had to be pre booked even though there was only a few others in the pool on all the occasions we used it.

Please note that the trip advisor page is wrong regarding free super fast wifi. You have to pay! Was free last year but this year you pay daily or for the week. The lodge is very dated and in need of repair. Very tatty. Seems to have staff shortages as restaurant is not open. Probably the worst hoseasons in the estate.
