Fabulous room with dual aspect over the harbour and out to sea. Delicious breakfast with good veggie options. Staff friendly and helpful. Room and en-suite were both spotlessly clean, lovely comfortable bed and pillows(which I often have an issue with...but not here!). A really lovely 2 night stay. We'll be back for a longer break.

Whilst the pub and drinks were acceptable. The lunchtime menu was poor. The seasonal soup was advertised as leek and Potatoe, with warm crusty bread. However, it was a vegetable thin liquid soup (using up previously cooked vegetables), the bread was half of a small baton heated up, and it was not freshly baked bread. The fries were Iin a small bowl and the garlic bread was also a small baton with no taste of garlic. We have eaten main meals here in the past. We were very disappointed today. We had our grandson with us, so we didn't want to complain at the time to embarrass him.

A group of 10 of us dined at the Chain Locker on New Year's Eve 2023-2024. We pre-ordered and my pre-order email was not very clear (sorry Chain Locker) but the brilliant staff sorted it in no time despite being extremely busy. The folk duo Our Atlantic Roots entertained us into the New Year and beyond and the Chain Locker make no extra charge for this. This is the 2nd New Year we have spent at the Chain Locker and I wold highly recommend it. Thank you Kathryn

We are a local family who use the chain locker regularly. Our meal on Sunday wasn’t the normal standard, my mash was cold & our potion size had shrunk. Very disappointed.

Great venue, food and drinks. Staff were friendly and helpful as they always usually are. New Year’s Eve entertainment wasn’t up to there usual standard which was a shame as the night had been so good up to that point. It won’t stop me going back as every time we do we have a great experience.

Yet again we went along looking forward to meals of Hake and Mussels to be told the list of ''things we haven't got tonight'' included both our favourites. Again. Along with the Chilean sauvignon. Bit of a New Year let down.

We visited the Chain Locker on Boxing Day to celebrate a family birthday. The food was superb. We had preselected our meals from the festive menu and were not disappointed. The service was excellent. The staff were friendly, polite, helpful and accommodating. The dining area upstairs is a hidden gem with fabulous views over Falmouth harbour. We will definitely be going back.

We love The Chain. It's always warm and friendly. Tonight was new year's eve and it was super busy and food was great for our group of four! The dessert was a bit slow because of how busy it was but they were aware before we could even say anything and knocked off two of the desserts from the bill! Then when we all left to allow them to move the tables around for music, there wasn't a table available for us so they threw some chairs together with a great view of the band and gave us a complimentary round of drinks in addition. The Chain Locker is fantastic and we had a wonderful night?

Super relaxing Boxing Day lunch with family. The food was lovely and fresh, well presented and tasted good. Staff were polite and professional, we felt well looked after. Love the Xmas decor, made for a cosy, comfortable, unrushed lunch.

The Chain Locker upstairs dining area looked magical for our Christmas dinner. Beautiful tree ,garlands, candles and obviously the view over the water. The staff were fantastic! Genuinely helpful and friendly. Can’t complain about the Menu for Vegans, plenty of choices. The Christmas menu was great . The rolls and olive tapenade, starter and sorbet were delicious. The main was good but by preference we love a bit of red cabbage and a Yorkshire pudding which I know doesn’t traditionally come with a Turkey dinner! Just something I missed. The pudding was also delicious. Great traditional Christmas pudding and the Vegan dessert was creative and delicious. Our one issue was the kids menu. It was the same menu as the adults and for the kids aged 2, 3 and 8 not appealing to them. We would be happy to book in next year as a large family group but would hope for a simpler kids menu. Thanks Chain Locker you were great !!

Wow what a great meal - 9 adults for Christmas Eve celebration - the food was perfect (most delicious grilled Hake over crushed new potatoes ? and the mussels were the stars of the meal ) Staff were fantastic - so helpful, polite and nothing was too much.

I went with my friends for our Christmas dinner. We had the set Christmas menu. The atmosphere of the pub is amazing, the staff are kind too. The food was not great- I would not recommend. The starters were bland and small, tasted ready made frozen. The main meals again were dry (the pork), the vegetarian main roast came with a cold side of beetroot- it would be good in a salad, but not a roast… the deserts (sticky toffee pudding), was dry and tasted of fruit and ginger, no syrup at all. The normal pub food looked nice, maybe it’s just the roast. But, we would definitely go here for a night out/ drinks.

We came as a family for Sunday lunch and we had a lovely time. The food was served in a timely manner and the roast was excellent. The children enjoyed the food and loved watching all the great things that happen around a Harbour. Service was friendly and the team hosted us well. We even got to see the rooms as we were looking at them for some friends who are due to visit in February.
