Culture Restaurant
38B Arwenack St, FalmouthWhat a treat this dinner was! We were showing off Falmouth to friends visiting from L.A., so of course Culture had to make the list. We dined on a Thursday night, and by some absolute bonkers reason, we were the only table booked. Despite this, Hylton (owner/chef) and Bobby (GM) stayed open, and we were treated to a phenomenal, personalized experience. From this, it's easy to tell how much they believe in and love what they do. This was our second time here, and it did not disappoint. Every course was a delight, and it was impossible to pick a favourite. Their recent accolade of a Green Michelin star is well-deserved, and they remain one of our top choices for fine dining in the area.

Windjammer Cafe & Bar
Cafe & Bar, The Windjammer, 7 Grove Place, FalmouthCalled in here for a morning coffee and feeling a bit peckish thought a slice of toast or tea cake or something similar would be good. It isn't that sort of place but when we saw the cinnamon french toast on the menu decided on that. What we expected was a couple of pieces of toast, what we got was a stack of cinnamon toast 'fingers' almost jenga style! Definitely unexpected and so tasty glad this was the choice. It filled us up for the rest of the day! From the look of the other breakfasts that were being served, you won't be left hungry whatever you order. Friendly and welcoming staff, would recommend and will be back.

The food was excellent as usual , I am fussy about how I like my steak cooked, but no matter which chef is on it is always cooked as I like it. I also had a cocktail from their sister restaurant the Shed next door, it was one of their new recipes aptly called The Garden Shed and it was very refreshing. They have an outside Jacuzzi and a cold dip pool and a sauna that has a glass wall so you can see the views. And then they have steam rooms and a huge hydrotherapy pool and other saunas inside. It’s a really special impressive place. I wish I would’ve discovered it earlier and spent several days. it’s also just across from the beach. So you’re able to just wake up and go walking along the beach and enjoy the path that extends for a long time up above the beach. Lovely place. Wish I spent more time! We only had two days.

Beerwolf Books
3 Bells Ct, FalmouthMy first visit to Falmouth and I already had several recommendations from friends to visit Beerwolf Books. It's a concept I was not familiar with. A book shop with a bar? A bar, which is also a book shop? Either way, I'm not interested in the books much but the location tucked away behind the high street added an air of mystery. The stunning 400 year old building meets you in a gorgeous courtyard and opens up to reveal an impressive staircase up to the main floor. I was immediately impressed with the vast variety of beer on offer. Lots of cask and keg beers. The cosy interior was very welcoming on my second visit but the weather was fair on my first visit so we sat outside. I think it was my favourite destination in Falmouth when I visited.
