Rooms , old bathrooms need updating , noisy hall , there is definitely NO sound barrier at this hotel , banging doors . Did Not sleep , felt exhausted , room view over looking reception roof not very Devon .There were no lifts so don’t bring bags , they advertised Parking and car park full , had to park off a side road . One bath towel provided for everything . Unfortunately I did not feel to take photos on this occasion.Rooms: Need updating , carpet floors , noisy extraction fan , shakes the bed .Super thin cavities can hear everything in rooms including TV . Nothing special , had breakfast coffee machine did not work . Wanted coffee and got milk ..

This place is LUSH! When we arrived, the considerate staff welcomed us happily. The views are magnificent from the dining hall. The food was great. Fresh and healthy. We loved it.The spa is something special. This hotel is designed so beautifully. You just look around and feel happy. They have an outside Jacuzzi and a cold dip pool and a sauna that has a glass wall so you can see the views. And then they have steam rooms and a huge hydrotherapy pool and other saunas inside. It’s a really special impressive place. I wish I would’ve discovered it earlier and spent several days. it’s also just across from the beach. So you’re able to just wake up and go walking along the beach and enjoy the path that extends for a long time up above the beach. Lovely place. Wish I spent more time! We only had two days.

The 2* seems harsh but there was a huge fundamental flaw. We booked our stay here for the spa. We chose this hotel for the *spa*The on site restaurants were going to be a bonus. As was the on site parkingHowever - on arrival we were told both the spa and the restaurant was fully booked for our entire stay so we could not access them. There was also no parking available so I had to walk on a broken foot up and down the hill to the car parked on a side street with luggageThe hotel pre-offered to book the restaurant before we arrived, so that’s on us, but we had no idea that the spa would be unavailable to hotel guests. It just makes no sense at all.On top of that, the room’s bathroom has black mould in the grout, a door that’s so damp it’s delaminated, bathroom smells of drains, and bedroom the radiator won’t turn off even after asking staff to do so (and then trying ourselves) - meaning we were too hot to sleep. And that (what 17inch?) tv is pointless. Though we could hear next doors for hours through the walls. Water wasn’t replenished for out second nightJust disappointing all round. We wanted a spa break so booked a spa resort as a treat. We weren’t allowed to use the spa and our room booking got moved (“not downgraded”) to a smaller room 81 which is too small for 2 people and feels like it’s in the staff quarters With piles of dirty laundry all over the corridor and open cleaner cupboards spilling out bags of whatever onto the corridor by the stairsDon’t expect luxury if you go for “cozy king”. It’s like a cheap hotel. The public spaces are lovely. Though the coffee at breakfast is terrible machine coffee with no offer to make freshRooms: The room’s bathroom has black mould in the grout, a door that’s so damp it’s delaminated, bathroom smells of drains, and bedroom the radiator won’t turn off even after asking staff to do so (and then trying ourselves) - meaning we were too hot to sleep. Great hotel with super spa and leisure facilities. Good food, attentive staff, near the beach, town and station. Id book a room with terrace, some ogher rooms can be a bit smaller...

A number of issues which collectively resulted in feeling disappointed. Stayed mid March, room was exceptionally hot, couldn’t get air con to work reception advised to open window. There were only patio doors to outside and we were in dog friendly room but as the balconies between rooms had no separating dividers the dog would have been off to someone else’s balcony. Room needed maintenance, heavily marked and paint peeling. Shower was good but no slope for it run and no proper edge to contain water so water completely over ran bathroom floor to the extent that had to use three towel to mop up. It isn’t made clear that you have to pay to use the spa (just to use it not for treatments) and in itself is unusual to find a hotel that charges guests to use it’s facilities, it’s a throwback an outdated approach of the 1980’s. The food was fine but at dinner ordered one dish and something else arrived because that was the option for that night. The waiting staff were all lovely and food was ok. The person who was on reception who I gave some feedback to about our stay was defensive, dismissive and fairly disinterested. We wouldn’t stay again

Our first time staying at St. Michaels resort and it was pure luxury. We couldn't find any faults at all during our stay, everything was perfect. We felt so comfortable and relaxed here. The facilities are excellent, the gym, pool & spa. All the staff were amazing, so friendly, helpful & welcoming. Our evening 3 course meal was Absolourly stunning. The staff in the restaurant and behind the bar were all so lovely, nothing was to much trouble. Big mention though to Kyle & Lewis who we're so lovely to us on reception for looking after us.We've booked again to stay here as we had such a great experience & loved our stay here.......Thank You everyone at St.Michaels resort.

We had a lovely stay, the hotel is well kept, with a great gym, spa and pool facilities. We dined in both restaurants and on both occasions had wonderful food. The staff around the hotel were friendly and attentive, with one exception being the breakfast service being slow and a little disjointed at times. For example we were sat at a table with no cutlery, cups etc so we had to follow up to get the table set. One morning we were sat at a table that still had food around the base of the table from the night before so more attention is needed. The other area for improvements is house keeping, the first day the bins were not emptied and the wet towels we hug were folded up and put on the bed, not sure why. The second day we had one set of towels replaced but not the other. We also had to ask for shower gel and soap as both had run out but had not been refilled. The hotel is around 10-15 minute walk from the town.Rooms: We stayed in a luxury king with sun deck. The room was nicely decorated, comfortable and well kept. We took advantage of the sliding doors onto the deck as the warm could get a little warm.Food & drinks: Pizzas in the garden kitchen were lovely. Cooked breakfast was tasty and you could ask for extras. The continental selection was also varied and good quality. The evening meal we had in the bistro was exceptional.

Rooms were both dirty (10 and 81). Ingrained black mould around baths. Dust on surfaces. Rusty towel rail and shelf brackets. Bottom of bathroom door badly de-laminating from damp. Scuff marks and damaged paintwork in both rooms. In public areas heavily stained carpets, knobs missing off furniture, cracked and broken windows and doors, fire door held open with fire extinguisher, lift broken...Breakfast no knives to cut bread, no plain yoghurt on offer, no tea (have to ask specially and wait 15 minutes for it to he provided) horrible machine-powder coffee, one-egg scrambled egg and smoked salmon.Very poor value for £170 rooms.Complaint made about room 81 and given alternative room. 10 was offered a partial refund but this room was directly above the bar was extremely noisy and poorly insulated from the music and general bar noise - when a quiet room had been specially requested.

A beautiful hotel, offering quality food and spa treatments. Staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. We booked a luxury king size room, but I must say it was a little disappointing, a little tired looking, the bed, and pillows were so hard, I barely slept, so the massage I had was just a waste of money as my back just ached so much due to the hard mattress, I know it's very difficult to please everyone but seriously I think this was one of the most uncomfortable beds I've ever slept in, especially in a luxury hotel. Our teas, milk, and water were not replenished for our second night stay, considering they provided the smallest bottle of milk I've ever seen. I've given 4 stars for service only because of room service and not for the overall service from the staff at meal times etc!Not sure I would go back due to the uncomfortable bed.

Managed to stay here at long last only for a night but since it was within the company budget I thought it would make a change.Very impressed with the facilities I didn't get time in the spa and gym but will plan better next time.Made the mistake of the full Cornish breakfast not seeing the full continental option with this pastries the size of dinner plates!I had a little room above the stairs all good but extremely warm probably the reason why everyone is walking around in bath robes.Anyway will definitely be back.

I visited Falmouth last week and wanted to play tennis with my son. We paid £8 to hire a court for a week which I thought was quite pricey. Sadly the standard of the courts were shocking. The lines had all rubbed away so you could not tell if the ball was in or out and the ground and surrounding areas were unkept. Not what I was expecting from a high class resort! Such a shame as the location of these courts is so good but the quality awful!

Worth a visit . It is a lovely spa and hotel . Main reasons I didn't give all 5 .got my breakfast order wrong on the two days I was there . I loved the spa but got it got busy so spending 40 pounds for two hours and trying to avoid sharing with too many people was making it a little more stressed than it needed to be.Walkability: Lovely coastal walk no matter the weather to Maenporth beach
