Had a very nice lunch here looking over the estuary. Good value for a good view. Disabled access good however I couldn't park anywhere near as car park reserved for residents.

Gorgeous; however some of the staff need some customer care training! Reception was disinterested & so uncaring. No information or support.Rooms: Stunning decor; nice touch the gin. Bed so comfy, absolutely gorgeous

Fabulous views over the River Fowey to Polruan. Lovely hotel. We had a free upgrade to a sea/river view. Fowey is one of our favourite places and is perfect for a two or three day break. Well run hotel in a stunning location, great food, friendly staff. Stunning views from the bar and restaurant. Well worth booking a parking space as well for a small fee.

I cannot speak highly enough of this hotel and *especially* the staff who were exceptional in every regard. Superb.

We stayed here 3 nights to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Everything about the hotel was perfect. The room with stunning harbour views, the complimentary gin and tonic, the greeting card and chocolates in our room on arrival, the meals, the service, even the lift. All the staff were professional, friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Sunday lunch was very average. Undercooked hard roast potatoes and flavourless veg. Charged £3.50 for a coke that was so small it did not fill a small glass. Could not park at the Hotel and had to park in local car park at cost of £5.60. 12.5 service charge added automatically!! I left feeling ripped off as charge premium prices for an average product. I will not be returning.Food & drinks: Overpriced and average.

I will get my moan out of the way first. The hotel is charging top end prices which I don't have a problem with, due to the service and rooms etc., but they charge £ 10 a day for parking, which needs to be pre booked. I understand that parking is at a premium in Fowey but i don't think you should be charging for parking, especially considering the Padstow sister hotel do not charge. Now for the good stuff. We were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who gave us our room key 307. The room was very nice, very clean and a complimentary Gin and tonic was waiting for us. The beds were certainly very comfortable and welcoming. Onto the food : We ate at the restaurant on our first nights stay and it was impeccable and could certainly stand its ground with any top restaurant around the country, and I had the best Mackerel starter I have ever had and i have had a few in my time. We also had a sandwich at lunchtime and again very very good. Breakfast again was excellent. The bar area was bustling and relaxed and the waiter even remembered our drinks from the day before, these little bits adds to the ambience of the place. The staff at the hotel are all welcoming, friendly and a credit to the Harbour hotel brand. Would we recommend the hotel yes Would we stay again yes As usual Harbour Hotels did not let us down.

We stayed at this hotel as a family with a 2yr old for a friend's wedding. This hotel is not really a family hotel - but the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and that a toddler wasn't any bother. I'd particularly like to rave about Emily - she was fantastic and I think the hotel is very lucky to have her. The room and hotel were both beautiful. I would pay extra next time for a room with a view. Sadly our room was above a delivery door/where bins were collected in quick succession at 6am. The drivers left their radios very loud, banged a lot etc and it was very difficult to get back to sleep. A room on the other side would avoid this. I'd genuinely love to visit again as a couple to have the full experience of cocktails and food with a view. The nicest hotel in the UK we've stayed at! The staff are clearly very well trained and proud of their hotel.

We very much enjoyed staying here and have no complaints. We booked six nights but sadly had to leave after four due to unforeseen circumstances at home. The staff were all very pleasant tried hard to please the guests. They were mostly present in sufficient numbers and clearly well trained to deal with guests. Service in the hotel and restaurant was very good. The restaurant was always quite full and service was good. The dinner menu had reasonable variety and was supplemented daily with several “specials”. We ate there every evening because the food and service were so good. Our room had a great view across the estuary to Polruan. It had a very comfortable bed and was generally well appointed. The hotel is only a short walk from the town centre and the ferries. There are several decent walks accessible just by walking from the hotel(eg Gribben Head and the Hall Walk).

I did not stay in this hotel, just went for dinner. Restaurant staff provided a nice welcoming and a good, quick table service. The view from the balcony over the bay is spectacular. Food was tasty and served on stylish plates. The room decor was a bit of a mismatch to me various of modern art mixed with some oriental influence. Tables layed nicely. The restroom was clean and the scented liquid soap had a good smell.Walkability: A nice 15 mins slow walk from the nearest public car park.Food & drinks: Tasty and quickly served. House Speciality offered on a different menu. Good selection on alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks

This was the first occasion we had stayed at this hotel. Prior to visiting we received a telephone call from Poppy a member of the reception team. She updated us that a car park space had been reserved for us. She also explained that there was a wedding taking place on the day of our arrival, but we had allocated a room on the third floor, so that we would not be disturbed. We thought that this was a unique thing for a hotel to do. We had a lovely room that overlooked the estuary so that we could watch the marine activity. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. We could not find fault with any of the food offered or the service given. Although this was the first time we had stayed at The Harbour Hotel, it certainly will not be the last. We would recommend this hotel to anyone wish to have a short break.

Wonderful in all respects. Great revamp of a previously tired old place. Beautiful friendly atmosphere . Our double sea view room was cosy and delightful and the bed was super comfortable . The parking situation with prior booking is excellent and the spaces were large and easy to get into ! When staying place like Fowey , which though delightful , can get crowded , it’s great to have a luxurious peaceful base and we enjoyed our time much more because if this . We’ll definitely be back.

Updating my review 24 August. Lovely property and, all together, a good value. The kitchen is solid. (Club sandwich a thing of beauty). I'll leave my review in tact otherwise, but will congratulate the team on excellent service in the dining room today.23 August: Beautiful property overlooking Fowey. Service is uneven, if always friendly. The main issue is staff training in the dining room. Some older staff (lovely ladies, all) clearly handling things well. The youngsters, I'm guessing employed seasonally, occasionally tuned out or chatting, hiding in the hall or stuck as if tethered to the computer station rather than checking on diners. We were one of several tables having to walk up to the computer station to ask to pay our bill. This, after an expensive meal for three, staying 5 nights at the hotel. Waving ones arms around like you're directing air traffic on the tarmac is not conducive to relaxed enjoyment of dining. The kids don't check table status, don't clear plates unless asked, can forget items. Again, friendly people, but very uneven in terms of service knowledge. I do think management might might consider really hammering home the obligation of staff to check what's needed at tables. This was an issue during both busy and less-busy times. All that said, I would return to stay in the hotel (5 stars for quick and friendly room service!).

The hotel is nicely positioned over looking the harbour the staff were kind and the breakfast and dinner was delicious, the rooms are a bit small but the view makes up for it, I would definitely go again my little dog loved the hotel ad well , and he was served fresh water. The hotel is designed with a calm but fun decor.
