Fishermans Arms
Fore St, Golant, FoweySuperb location - great service from Nick and the team, brilliant menu, work recommend the Sunday Buffet and the pizzas!
Nick and the team always do their best to look after us, none more so than today, where our Birthday party table of 7 indoors turned into a table of 15 outside all on a busy Bank Holiday, the team were super helpful and efficient and helped sort it all out!
Would recommend and will be back!

Quay Bakery
37 Fore St, FoweyI’ve patronised this bakery for many years, and it’s just a genuine brilliant business.
The produce is better than any I’ve found elsewhere, great breads, great cheesy feet, great cakes. Recently I’ve been eating lots of their cakes and this carrot cake is outstanding and well priced. They are all good.
We always look forward to buying their bread when in Fowey.
The most contentious product is their pasty, and I think it would be wise to take on customer feedback- I just think that they aren’t great, pastry to filling ratio is all off and it does have to be warm to be enjoyable (needs a heated cabinet). I hope they rethink the pasty as the idea to do it a little different than others is good, but execution is sadly lacking, and it brings down their other products (people who have bought just the pasty think it’s representative of their other products, when in reality it isn’t).
Great to support a small business and I really hope them all the best.

Sam's Fowey
20 Fore St, FoweyServed by Ed and a blonde girl waitress tonight after booking a table at 8.30. The atmosphere was on point. Great music, and a buzz to the kitchen n bar with busy staff. Not many covers but all of them filled, even on a wednesday night. The food can be simply described as delicious and reasonably priced too. The steak was banging and cooked to perfection. Well done chefs. The service, attentive and considerate and the bill even came out with a little doggy cuddle and gravy bone exchange. Bravo everyone. We normally visit polkerris resturant, but tbh we loved this Sams venue just as much and possibly more. We will be back. Thanks

Harbour Hotel Fowey
Esplanade, FoweyPopped in for a coffee having already had a coffee in town with my friend and ended up having a cream tea. Amazing views, beautifully decorated room, excellent friendly service and pleasantly surprized at the price! Will visit again rather trying to find a seat in a busy small coffee shop on town.

Roly's Fudge Pantry
21 Fore St, FoweyLovely staff and delicious fudge! I was recommended by a friend so I decided to pop in. They had a variety of flavours available in bags or by weight. We tried some christmas pudding fudge and had to buy it. They even offered us a few free bags of fudge that “weren’t good enough to sell” (they were absolutely delicious though!!) 10/10 Would recommend ??

North Street Kitchen
55 North St, FoweyI recently visited North Kitchen and overall had a very positive experience. The location is definitely one of its strongest assets, great views and a really pleasant setting, especially if you can get a table facing the water. The staff were efficient, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing, which made the whole experience feel relaxed. The food is casual, tapas-style, but well executed. Dishes are simple yet flavourful, and you can tell there’s care in the ingredients and preparation. That said, portions are on the smaller side, so if you’re hungry you’ll likely need to order several plates.
One thing worth noting (which I haven’t seen mentioned much) is that the menu works best when shared, it’s not ideal if you’re expecting a traditional starter-main structure. Also, the pacing between dishes can be a bit quick, so it’s worth asking the staff to slow things down if you want a more leisurely meal.
In terms of pricing, it did feel a bit on the higher side for what is essentially tapas, particularly given the portion sizes. However, considering the location and overall quality, it can still be worth it for a special or relaxed evening. Overall, a solid choice in Fowey, especially if budget isn’t a constraint. I’d recommend it for the atmosphere, views, and good, unfussy food.

Bufala Fowey
1 Lostwithiel St, FoweyThin crust pizzas - bit on the crispy side but the toppings were very tasty.
Service was good to begin with and then I think they got fed up of our rather energetic 5 year old daughter and just ignored us, so we left without ordering dessert, shame.
Daughter also got in the way of waitress as she cleaned up and the waitress’s response was to brush straight past. Again a shame because we’d enjoyed the place until then. Hey ho.

The Ship Inn
Trafalgar Square, FoweyWe chose the burgers which are made locally, delicious, and large portions. It is a very popular place and as food is cooked freshly there can be a wait for which you are advised. This can happen anywhere. The staff were pleasant and friendly. There was also an offer for family's of a child under 12 eats free with a paying adult. Would highly recommend and will definitely revisit.

The Lugger Inn Fowey
5 Fore St, FoweyIt doesn’t get much cozier than the Lugger Inn. I appreciated the nautical memorabilia and the general sense of history almost as much as the Proper Job. Seems equally popular for some grub as it is for beers - my heart was warmed seeing the barman taking beers over to the old boys in the corner, who were having a lovely night of Cornish beer and good conversation. Must visit when in Fowey.

Niles Bakery
14 Fore St, FoweyIt would be great to see a place like this in Witney—it feels like exactly what’s missing here. A traditional bakery with simple sandwiches, Cornish pasties, fresh bread, and classic buns that taste just like British childhood memories.

The Galleon Inn
12 Fore St, FoweyWe had lunch here a couple of days ago and both opted for jacket potatoes.
My wife had pulled pork which she thoroughly enjoyed. I went for the beef chilli which was nice, but the meat was somewhat sparse.
Neither of us seem to have the “salad” advertised..?
What gives this place four stars is the cheesy garlic bread, some of the best I’ve ever tasted, and the very good customer service.
