Eating at the Dwelling House is truly an experience not to be missed in Fowey. A hidden gem with the most incredible and varied menu. Fancy little plates? Tick. Fancy a bigger plate? Tick? Got eyes bigger than your stomach? Tick. The crab crostini are incredible, then there’s the Vietnamese style scallops, the whipped feta, the beef rendang, incredible fish curries... I couldn’t love this place more. Fabulous people, fabulous food.

Lovely restaurant with absolutely beautiful food and a relaxed atmosphere. The menu is mostly South East-Asian inspired dishes with plenty of seafood options, and a couple of more Mediterranean style items. I had a Sri Lankan Hake curry, which was light, fresh, and perfectly spiced. I also got to taste the salmon with dal and the lamb giouvetsi which were both very tasty (I would choose the lamb if I visited again). For dessert, I chose a warm plum cake which was light, sweet but not too decadent. It was a great finish to the meal.Prices were around 18-20 for a main, which I thought was reasonable given the area and the quality of food. The staff were very pleasant and we enjoyed a couple of laughs with them.I'd recommend booking as it seemed busy.Vegetarian options: There were vegetable curries and antipasti selections.

We had a lovely evening meal, all individually and freshly-prepared. The service was great, it felt very personal. The crab crostini starter was so tasty and the salmon was cooked perfectly. I couldn’t recommend this restaurant highly enough

Amazing as always and one of my favourite restaurants to visit and not just in Fowey. A lovely atmosphere as always with great music and service from the lovely family that own The Dwelling House. Everytime we visit we are made to feel so welcome & they always remember us. This year we decided to bring a friend alone to try (he loves it too) The food is fantastic everything is full of so much flavour. I find it hard to pick what to have as I just want to try it all! Would recommend the crab antipasti & the scallops are sooo good and excellent value for money. Can’t wait to return.

My family organised my bithday surprise whilst on holiday in Cornwall. The restuarant is unique and comes across as a cosy home. My family reserved a room separate to the rest of the restaurant. It was delightful. The food was wonderful. Plenty of vegetarian options for an old veggie like me (There was one other veggie in our party). The "birthday" cake was amazing. We had it warmed up with some clotted cream. Lovely. The host were generous, giving away the recipe. A wondeful special birthday. Thank you.

Unexpected gem to find. There’s a courtyard out the back. My husband says it’s the best BLT he has ever had - including any he has made himself. I had the park bun cha - lovely. A family run business- wish we had found it earlier in our holiday as we would’ve gone back many times. Had lovely cocktails too.

A delicious meal following a trip up the river. The food is a fusion of Thai, Vietnamese, Italian and Indonesia. The Lady owner is the cook and she is a super talent.

A special “hidden” gem with a secret courtyard garden dining area. Great home made food, lovely atmosphere with helpful, friendly staff. It’s very easy to miss it from the roadside. Look out for the little blackboards, else you would think it’s just a B&B.

Delicious food (we had crab sandwich, crab frittata and crab rarebit!), really kind staff, and a lovely atmosphere inside. My dog was welcomed and the staff kindly sat us in a quieter room for her benefit. Highly recommended, would visit again!

Stopped at The Dwelling House for dinner as saw sign outside which mentioned Crab Sandwiches available. We both ordered Crab Sandwiches on granary bread, these came with salad, balsamic dressing. We also had Rioja wine. Everything was most delicious. We sat in the back garden which was beautiful. Staff were most friendly. We shall be back.

We were unexpectedly blown-away by the food at this delightful, unassuming restaurant. The menu is 'world fusion' and everything we had was creatively conceived and expertly executed. The Thai chicken curry was one of the finest I've enjoyed. Great cocktails too especially my frozen margarita. The small courtyard garden is a pretty haven, and everyone was super friendly and welcoming, including to our dog. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip to the South West.
