Had a 3 course meal here tonight, the menu caters for all taste buds with the heart and souls going into the meals, our waitress was very professional friendly and accommodating for our every wish and needs. Thank you so much for such a lovely night highly recommend to all. We will be back.

I’ve dined here twice now and the first time I came our server got my order completely wrong! Apart from that though the food I have had here was delicious, came out hot and service was relatively quick too. The second time I dined here there were bao buns on the specials board (which were absolutely to die for). We sat outside both times and it’s a nice outside dining area compiled of large benches and umbrellas too so we were shaded from the sun. Overall a good place to eat

I have booked a table for 1.45pm on Sunday, when we arrived the place itself looks lovely and well presented. The waiter instead was rude and unbothered which just pointed us the table and arrived a minute later and slapped the menus on the table. We waited for 40 minutes for our 3 burgers which was ok, and the burger was well presented and inviting. Such a shame that when you bite into it doesn’t taste like it looked. Was so overcooked and chewy really, really unpleasant to eat. None of the waiters came to check if we was ok with the food and couldn’t tell me. Out of hungryness we finished the burgers and once the waiter took the empty plates we complained about the burgers and he said sorry I’ll let the kitchen know and never came back. No compensation, no discount. Such a shame I’ve heard so well about this place and has disappointed so much especially for how unbothered was the waiter after the complain. I’ll come back is it could have been a chef mistake and a one off that food was so unpleasant and want to give this place a second chance.

Took a late lunch here yesterday and it really was very good. The venue was very busy but this did not impact on the level of service. Staff were friendly, polite, professional and efficient throughout. The menu, alongside the many specials available, made choosing difficult as it all sounded so tempting. I went for the Buddha Bowl, my wife the Korean chicken skewers, for starters and the flavours were so appetising. For the mains the cod loin from the specials board and, from the regular menu, the 'Bookmaker' steak melt. Both the cod and the steak were cooked to perfection and they both tasted great. The desserts were also enjoyable too! Everything was well presented. We tried the draft Chieftain IPA, an Irish beer that is a little darker than most IPA's on the market but it was a pint to savour. All in all a great place to eat and drink. Well worth a visit as, judging by how well attended the venue was, people already know just how good it is! Deserves more than it's 4.6 star google rating.

There is going out for dinner and then there's a visit to the Salt Kitchen in Hayle. This is another level. A superb menu covering surf and turf. Appetiser options with several starters, main courses and a specials board. If you can't find anything you like then maybe eating out isn't something for you. It would be unreasonable to find any fault. Portion sizes are generous and the mix of textures and flavours are a culinary crown, successfully created by a wonderfully talented chef and her team. Every single mouthful is a delight and testament to the whole team who clearly are committed to delivering absolutely top quality food in an atmospheric location, trendy yet private, vibrant enough and yet not over exuberant. A fantastic evening where service is at it's most pleasant, smiling best. I would have absolutely no doubt in recommending this to anyone for a superb quality filled evening. As I said, outstanding all round. Simply outstanding

Lovely cocktails and service, we've been before and had an amazing meal. However this evening I had a burger and it was really dry I couldn't eat it, my partner had the fish of the day and said it was dry. We love it here just disappointed this evening.

What an absolute find. The food, for the price, was way beyond any expectation we had. The staff were really friendly and informative. The price was so reasonable considering the care and attention given to the prep, cook and plating.15/10 would get fat and sassy againKid-friendliness: They were brilliant with our kids, who loved the place and the food

We had a week in Hayle and ate here three times, the food is SO good. Each time we waited for our food as it was cooked fresh, no grumbles from us on that score !! It gets busy on weekends so worth booking if you don't want to miss out. One of the meals we had was the Sunday special which changes each week, ours was Duck Confit with roast dinner trimmings, it was amazing. Sunday dinner is so personal and they nailed it. We shared a Brie starter, my husband had the monkfish skewers one lunchtime & I had the Squid, I had the Salt Burger, he had Hake in a spicy bean stew, all the dishes were lovely. It's not a huge menu which is good, but plenty of variety, a specials board and trust me, you'll end up torn !! The staff are lovely in there too, overall a really nice place to eat and sit for several hours LOL

Went for a birthday celebration. The food was so good and my son reckoned he had the best burger ever! The staff were very attentive and made sure we had a good time. I have to say that the prawn and monkfish skewers were amazing. Thanks for an enjoyable evening. Highly recommended.

Had a great time. Salt is doing all the main things right: the menu is the right size and focused on what works and ours tasted good; the ingredients are good quality and with decent portions; staff are friendly and there is a warm feel to the place; and the kids meals are decent and not just tacked on as an afterthought. Worth going for the cocktails too.

Absolutely remarkable night out, fantastic atmosphere and OUTSTANDING food!!! The buddha bowl was a real treat for vegetarians and it was a nice level of spice to it.The monkfish skewer (main) was generous with its portion size, and defintely filling with pita bread, chips, salad and slaw. The loaded fries was the highlight on the table - it is a meal in and of itself. The ciabatta steak was really tender and succulent, though the main steak meal's doneness may vary. Fried brie with the chilli jam was a nice touch too! Cocktails may be a bit overpriced at £9 and the alcohol was fairly wateredown... otherwise, overall, was really impressred with their food for a dinner night out.

But of a missed opportunity here sadly. Could have been so much better. Great service and atmosphere. Always surprised when a venue offers cheap sachet condiments to compliment their food, Bit of a red flag for me, bourne out by the mains.

I found this place on TripAdvisor before visiting the area so booked for Saturday lunchtime and was glad I did as it was very busy. The food and service was excellent. I had the steak on ciabatta with blue cheese and my husband had steak both of which were so nice. I had a couple of cocktails including a really lovely lemon one but I can't remember the name of it. Everything about our visit was spot on so what more could you ask for. Defiantly recommend a visit.

Excellent food, excellent service, excellent ambience, definitely recommend, burger to die for. Fairly priced for the quality. Will definitely be going back, the Sunday lunch special looks nice, will try next time.
