My husband brought me down to Hayle, Cornwall for a week to celebrate my 30th birthday. We came here on a Thursday night and it was rather busy which, to me, suggests that this is a very popular restaurant. And after a wonderful dining experience, I can certainly see why! The food was to die for! And I have never seen onion rings the size of bangles before! Everything was fresh and high quality. Then the desserts….I cannot find a word which articulates how delectable they were!! We plan to come down to Cornwall annually and we will definitely be returning to Trevaskis!

Banging roast! Great portion size and the desserts are ginormous, staff all really smiley and friendly, and table service is prompt. I recommend coming here for their Sunday roast.

Fabulous fresh food, setting and staff... well worth a return visit and don't forget the market!

Today, here, we had probably our best ever Sunday roast! The food was cooked to perfection and the staff were polite and attentive. Great vegetables (carrots, peas, cabbage, swede, cauliflower and roast potatoes) and large serving of roast beef. We couldn't fault a thing!

We had breakfast in the farm shop cafe. Excellent service and wonderful food. My husband said one of the best breakfasts he has ever had (and he had a lot of breakfasts LoL). We certainly recommend the cafe and the farm shop is great too.

Terrible we arrived early so we sat outside by the entrance & had a drink fine until a member of staff was chatting to regular customers the member of staff with a bald head wearing light brown shirt & black trousers he as I said was talking the customers then said it must be a bit quieter now the member of staff clearly replies yes thank god until it 's hell again in the summer I will point something out to your Cornish bussiness without us tourists your farm shop & restaurant wouldn't exist as the local population would not be able to keep your business going !!!! We were going to have lunch so we cancelled why would we want to eat in your place when your staff clearly don't like tourists & Thier money !!!! And the farm shop what a rip off & lots of products from all over the country not Cornwall sadly we will take our hard earned money else where ,teach your staff to be careful when on duty what they say you never know who's listening bad customer service & your farm has missed out on best part of £60 !!!!!

Booked up for an evening g Sunday meal, all good no issues. I had a large lamb roast my partner a small pork roast. The food was tasty and came very quickly. Desserts were great. We had 4 between two of us. My only negative comments and why I dropped a star are. 1. The mint sauce portion is very stingy. Yes, I got mode when I asked for it, but it's less than a spoonful on the side of the plate. And the menus were filthy dirty. I mean, they were literally stuck together with brown markings. Other than that, a very pleasant experience as always.

Really disappointing meal. Went for a family meal, the staff really struggled. Not very busy and lots of staff on but their lack of hospitality experience was clear. Everything was a problem… from not being able to cope with starters/mains to be mixed across their set and standard menu, waiting for our drinks for 30 minutes, not wanting to take our main order until we’d had our starters (luckily they changed their mind!), not enough water glasses, not bringing cutlery for our mains until five minutes after we’d received our mains, forgetting to bring one of the mains out (came out 5-10 minutes later). Our favourite moment was asking for the water jug to be refilled and asking them to take the empty one and being told to leave it on the table… we ended up clearing the water jugs and some of the plates as it took so long. Went and found our own sauces too. Food wasn’t anything special, which was a shame given the price (£29.95 for 3 courses). At the very least the staff should be given some training and a manager run front of house! Heard there is a reputation for slow service! Would hate to see when it was busy (it was at 25% capacity when we visited) Won’t be going back!

Gone down hill wouldn’t recommend

Came here last year for breakfast and dinner + came back this year again for the same + didn't disapoint. The food is fantastic, no other word for it + although it was busy the wait time was not excessive. Would recommend this to anyone wanting a decent meal @ decent ££. The staff were efficient + friendly. Will definitely be back .

We always go for a meal at Trevaskis every time we are in Cornwall, we have never been disappointed. Food was yet again exceptional and the dessert counter is truly amazing. Worth the slightly long wait, but we were a table of 6 so we understand why we waited. On this occasion I feel sorry for the staff. It’s coming to the end of an incredibly busy summer and staff just seemed so tired and rushed off their feet. The service was still very good. The lack of service charge on the bill horrified me. A service charge does not have to be compulsory, but can mean a lot to staff. On further reflection we were over charged by one dessert. And we left a 10% tip. Overall, it was still a fantastic experience and will be back when we are next in Cornwall.

The starter of prawn cocktail had a very strong sauce which overpowered the delicate flavour of the prawns. My partner had courgette and mint soup which was OK. Both portions small. Had the pork ribs myself as a main. Rather a small portion. The ribs weren’t hot and the sauce was very salty Chips were OK. Gratin potatoes were good and had a pleasant fragrance of rosemary. My partner had salmon which was well cooked We were also given a small plate of veg to accompany the meal. We don’t drink alcohol so we just had tap water but the glasses we were given were like those used in a school canteen. We were recommended this place for my birthday celebration but were disappointed

A last family Sunday roast out before the kids went back to school and as much as the service was brilliant the roast dinner was really average. For a family of four with drinks it was over £70 + and really wasn’t worth the money. The roast was Luke warm, it had more cauliflower cheese then anything else and the deep fried roast potatoes were rock hard, for the price of a roast I was really disappointed. I wouldn’t return again…..
