Lovely place, but be aware that from April 24 the attached car park will become a paid car park.

After enjoying a fantastic walk on the beach with our 3 Shiztus we popped in the Rockpool for some dinner. Two young ladies welcomed us in and showed us where to sit.We loved our meal and drinks and the two ladies were very friendly and efficient in what they do.We have a business in east Devon and PR is so important to us so thankyou ladies it makes our experience so much better when on holiday you are a credit to your boss well done!!

Amazing venue in a spectacularly beautiful setting. Great menu, minimal but in a good way. Seafood Poutine was delicious. Really great service too, can't fault it.

First visit, I'd seen reviews online and before a left for home thought I'd visit. Location is fab, welcome wasn't so great. As a lone diner that day I felt like an inconvenience staff member who took my order wasn't particularly friendly. Food was OK served on tray which I thought was funky but the slaw and ribs sat on paper which desintgrated into the food. I ate and left as the experience wasn't comfortable. Such a shame as I'd looked forward to ending the holiday there ?Parking: Due to the location had to pay for parking next to the restaurant

Rockpool… more like rock bottom.Over priced. Poor quality.

Beware of the parking fees which the staff do not warn you about. Getting a very unexpected parking fee has coloured the experience of visiting here for us.

A really great venue in a beautiful location, the food was absolutely phenomenal. We visited for a wedding and found it a lovely intimate venue with the staff being very friendly and hard working to make sure all was done really well.Parking: Parking is usually pay & display which is a shame if you are eating here.Wheelchair accessibility: Easily wheelchair accessible via ramp at the front, not so accessible for the terrace at the rear as it’s different levels.

Such amazing food! The views from the terrace are incredible. The have a great selection of beers on tap and the food menu is so good. Great seafood and meat options. The ribs are incredible

Came here on New Years day with friends and family. Ordered the crispy bacon and cheese skins salad. The food came out promptly, however was very underwhelming. The topping had just been plonked on the top of the potato and warmed through. No crispy skins and no salad!? In the end we had to ask two separate members of staff where the salad was, each giving puzzled looks.. Eventually a bowl of very unappetizing past it's best salad was presented to us. (I'm assuming to be shared between two) by this time the potatoes were cold as it had taken so long. With the member of staff saying that usually it doesn't come with salad so they were unaware. (Some form of apology!?) With uneaten plates. (Luckily the other half of the party ordered chips,so we were able to eat some of theirs! We went up to pay and told the staff how disappointed we were with X2 of the meals. Nothing was done to rectify the issue, nor an apology given. We were told they would pass the feedback onto the kitchen. We understand it's New Year Day and staffing was probably limited, however the food really was poor at best. Please run a limited menu next time and better still train your staff and chef on the menu. If you can't deliver, stick to just chips and coffee! Luckily the coffee was decent. We'll give this place a miss in future.

Been to Lula shack on Hayle beach a few times and always enjoyed the food. The same good standard of food was also served at the rockpool, would definetly reccomend. Only downside, it was busy and they struggled with the service. Food was 1+ hour (told it was going to be 40 mins) but it was spot on when it came out. The service was good and friendly despit being slightly overwhelmed. They could have been better accommodating to our family with young children, especially with such a long wait. Had to get our own high chair, serving glass cups standard plates and cutlery to a 1 year even though we found children's cutlery on the side with the sauces and napkins. Not reading the signals of a hungry toddler etc... Was also told no need to book on the phone and was lucky to get a table when we arrived. Then the table was given away to another family when I got my son out of the car, was all a bit chaotic.
