Had the absolute pleasure of eating tapas with friends in the Beach Cafe loft. Brilliant in every way possible. Thank you Gary, looking forward to

Vegetarian options: Halloumi burger was great.

Tucked away cafe almost reluctant to be popular but in my opinion well worth it if you like secluded beaches for snorkeling or have a dog !

It is impossible to missout eatingMatt local fish & locally grown potatoe chips at Porthallow beach café & savour Garry's tapas sea food from Porthallow Loft Bistro. Call to book if possible or pop by - just don't give up on the scattered Cornish opening hours! It's worth it. July 2023

We had a lovely tapas meal in the loft above the cafe followed by dreamy vanilla ice cream. The loft is only open Thurs, Fri, Sat currently so check before turning up. Great vibe, fabulous chef & staff. Highly recommended if you like fresh seafood tapas.

Had a meal here on Saturday night - tapas - and it was fantastic! A wide selection of dishes and all the ones we chose were delicious. Thank you for a lovely evening, Gary and Sarah, and we'll definitely be back!

Visited this beach each time we have visited the Lizard the cafe is small and it was the end of season but that does not excuse the dog being allowed to sprawl over a table.

Lovely cafe just off the beach. Very pricey - £6 for a simple cheese toasty:(

Just had a fabulous 3 course meal tonight.Beautiful fish restaurant focused on the taste without over complicated sauces. Service and food was excellent. Amazing views over the harbour.

Food is fantastic at a brilliant price the newly opened loft in the evening is even better than the cafe and has a great atmosphere. Perfect to stop off on the costal trail or when staying on a holiday.
Sadly this new cafe was lacking. I have a medical dietary need, Coeliac disease, requiring a gluten free diet. With no information on the menu except an indication of vegetarian options, I asked for further information. There is a sign, by the door, statingpeople with dietary needs should ask. This is where it fell apart. Unhelpful staff stated they could not help me as they did not have a list of ingredients....even though this is mandatory by law. I was made to feel a nuisance, with them stating they had had a very busy lunch time (this was at 2.30). I can only advise anyone with dietary needs, including those with Coeliac disease, should avoid eating here until they get their act together.

Walking through on the SW coastal path we opted to stop for an ice-cream on a blissfully hot day, we were greeted in such a warm way and then stayed for longer than expected talking about the area. The ice-cream was almost as amazing as the service. I would 100% come here again.
