The ambience, the staff, the theming of the restaurant, let alone the quality of the food!Not just 'The Best Thai in Cornwall', this was *by far* the best Thai food we have *ever* had. Anywhere. Ever. It's a *must* visit!!I guess it's a case of:'You can take the chefs out of Thailand but can never take Thai out of the chefs!'Thank you for a wonderful evening. We will be back!

3 Penrose Rd, HelstonWithout fail always absolutely fantastic food and service. Charred hispi cabbage with miso dressing and bacon breadcrumbs. Celeriac soup + chilli oil. Hand cut chips and fried egg on toast from the kids menu. I'm definitely returning for the Beef shin and peppercorn stew. Local ingredients fairly priced.

The Square At Porthleven
7 Fore St, Porthleven, HelstonWe had an enjoyable anniversary dinner.The food was very tasty, though some bits were a tad on the cold side (whether through design or accident I'm not sure).The service was complicated, we had a number of different people visit our table, but not the additional attention to detail that you'd expect when dining at £50 per person.I likely won't return.

Housel Bay Rd, Lizard, HelstonAte here with friends in early December on a Friday evening having booked in advance. The food was outstanding and I cannot understand why Fallowfields does not have a Michelin *. I have not eaten better food anywhere. We had the Full Taster Menu starting with a plate of amuses bouches to get the tastebuds fired up. Walnut and prune brioche with whipped butter. Cured sea bass with celeriac and kelp broth and Jerusalem artichoke. Fowey scallop with crown prince pumpkin, candied seeds. Wild mushrooms with roasted garlic, mascarpone cappelletti, autumn truffle. Venison loin, beetroot, cavalo nero, black pudding and salsify. Roasted pear with Helford blue ice cream and watercress. Blackberry with lime leaf, meringue and apple. Honey pannacotta, honey cake and apricot with Sauternes. Everything was fabulous. Hats off to the chef Joseph Fallowfield. Please, please if you do get a Michelin *.........don't leave! Front of house team were lovely as well with just the right amount of banter. We will be back just as soon as we can.

Ann's Pasties & Bar
Fore St, Porthleven, HelstonOne of my jobs whilst on holiday in Cornwall is to carry out extensive research into the local pasties. The cheese one I had from here was really good - light, flaky pastry filled with tasty cheese and vegetables. There is cosy seating just outside the shop, but we walked down to the harbour and enjoyed ours watching the world go by.

3 Wendron St, HelstonI had never been here before despite having lived in the centre of Helston for nearly 2 years now.Me and my partner went in on Saturday just gone and I have to say, I was very impressed. While the Chicken Bhuna wasn't as spicy as I expected (have had hotter), it didn't matter because it was a very nice curry regardless. My partner also loved the Tikka Masala.The naan was very nicely cooked and the papadums were very fresh. I could not fault it really and as it was takeaway, we didn't eat in but the restaurant looked very clean and the tables nicely laid out so will definitely go there again and eat in at some point.But overall yes, no complaints and really nice spread of food with decent portions for the price.I think sometimes you can be skeptical about takeaway food if you never had it before because often times they can be cold, too sweet or salty but no, this restaurant served some of the best Indian I have eaten. Definitely recommend!

Penhallow, Perranzabuloe, TruroSo we didn't stay in the hotel but we had dinner there. The staff were lovely and friendly, the manager told us little bits about the team.The place was super cute and romantic vibes with cute fairy lights.Overall it was a lovely date night ❤️Food & drinks: I had meatballs and spaghetti and my husband had a pizza. Both were delicious and came out quickly. I forgot to take pictures of the mains. Pudding was delicious ❤️The menus was great. And the manager told us that everything was as local as possible and all of the fish served was caught that day by their family contacts.

It is a takeaway restaurant, so difficult for me to rate on atmosphere but the waiting area is very large so people are able to spread out. The one thing is that the price is quite high compared to some similar places we have visited, but we are aware of the rising costs of production e.g. electricity, food sourcing, the geographic area, etc

23 Coinagehall St, HelstonRarely order take away so was a little put off by the negative reviews. Needn't have worried as the food was prepared on time, hot and fresh. The store itself was immaculate and I liked that you can see the pizzas being prepped. Polite staff. What's not to like?

The delivery guys are always courteous and arrive when they say they will. I think you will find it difficult to find a quality Chinese takeaway as good as this coupled with the very reasonable prices anywhere in the area.

As white as turkey teeth, with the crispiest batter and no grease at all. Can’t honestly find the words to describe the quality.

The floor is very greasy/ slippy.It was the price for me though, we came for fish and chips but once we sat down and saw the menu, we couldn't afford it but we didn't have the heart to walk out as the shop was busy. 2 adults and 3 kids. So we picked the cheaper options the menu and we paid £10 each adult for sausage and chips and I think it was £6.50 each child for sausage and chips. Plus the drinks. Very expensive sausage and chips

9-11 Coinagehall St, HelstonWent in Friday night extremely busy because of light festival in Helston. Was like a war zone rushed of there feet. Stayed for a couple beers Went back next morning for breakfast Bang on 8.00 am door opened greeted with a cheery hello & a smile. To my surprise the place was gleaming, total transformation how the cleaners had done that in a few short hours was amazing. People often overlook the unsung heroes in many business’s WELL DONE you guys great job BTW the breakfast was great. Eggs Benedict x 2 with sausage & hash browns all cooked perfectly

National Trust - Lizard Point, Lizard, HelstonThis is a very nice cafe perched atop the cliffs with glorious views out to sea. We stopped off for a drink and something to eat. The Veggie burger was excellent. To enter the cafe you need to go down the side between it and an outhouse. The very obvious sliding door is not to be used! Plenty of seating both inside and out, along with friendly and helpful staff.

The food was delicious, the service friendly and efficient on what was a busy night with the restaurant being full. We will definitely return when we are next staying on the Lizard.

There aren't loads of animals, but able to spend half an hour or so looking at them, they are all very tame.The ice cream parlour offers a wide range, as you'd expect, but there was quite a queue and only one member of staff.The food menu looked good, as did the food we saw coming out, but didn't try any. There is also a small gift shop.There is under cover seating outside of the restaurant/ice cream parlour.

The Cove, Coverack, HelstonI truly loved visiting this special little café in its picturesque setting in Coverack. Had a really good conversation with the café’s owner, who expertly made my coffee to an extremely high standard. If I lived nearby I would be here every day! The food menu also sounds great; unfortunately I didn’t get to try it this time, but look forward to visiting again in the future.
