Im sure the food might be really nice going off all the fantastic reviews however having bookings open on your website when closed for a “winter break” and the only way you are telling people of this is a little note on the door when they have turned up for a table that was confirmed is absolutely shocking especially when turning up with children. Its not hard to turn your bookings off surely

So we didn't stay in the hotel but we had dinner there. The staff were lovely and friendly, the manager told us little bits about the team. The place was super cute and romantic vibes with cute fairy lights.Overall it was a lovely date night ❤️Food & drinks: I had meatballs and spaghetti and my husband had a pizza. Both were delicious and came out quickly. I forgot to take pictures of the mains. Pudding was delicious ❤️The menus was great. And the manager told us that everything was as local as possible and all of the fish served was caught that day by their family contacts.

Having previously visited a year ago and having enjoyed a very tasty Gluten Free pizza, I was anticipating the same good food again having booked a table 5 days prior to our visit. On the booking I had mentioned the requirement for having Gluten Free pizza for one person (myself) and having not received any further communication to my booking I assumed all was well. Once seated, the waitress took our order and I selected the BBQ Chicken Gluten Free pizza - only to be told they didn't have any GF bases available (after previously being told they were available!) Having been looking forward all week to this I was rather disappointed with this news and due to having several allergies I really struggled to find something suitable to eat. In the end I had to choose the 'Chicken Sorrento' (minus the creamy mushroom sauce) - so essentially I had a chicken breast, mashed potato and some broccoli - having known before hand this is what I would've been eating, I wouldn't have made the trip out this evening! When it came to paying for our meals, we were charged the same price for this meal even though it didn't come with the sauce - it really was a very bland meal and definitely not very Italian - it's worth noting that Im allergic to garlic and onion so was unable to have any of the pasta dishes on offer. On top of this we were charged a £12 service charge which really wasn't worth it for the quality of the food received this evening. Unfortunately this experience has put me off returning to Zuccini's again in the future. Had they let me know in advance that there would be no Gluten Free pizza bases available, then I wouldn't be leaving this review. Ps, members of my party thought the toilets were disgusting - the urinals were dripping and there was a musty damp smell throughout the venue. Also, please pay for Spotify, the free version was really annoying!

Not impressed. The server was a nice young person, but we asked when we arrived if they had the gluten free bases (we emailed in advance for this for one of our party who is GF). She said yes, then only to find out after starters and drinks and ordering mains that they did not. My partner also has other allergies which makes it difficult to have other items even the GF pasta, so has to make up a meal which consisted of broccoli, plain chicken and potatoes. It wasn’t great. The pasta dish wasn’t great either, chicken looked pre packaged and not fresh in the tagliatelle. It’s a shame as we came last year and had a pretty good experience. There is also a bad smell in there and the decor does not fit the place at all. It has potential but is a way off yet I’m afraid. We won’t be back. Also… even after all that- £12 service charge was added! Not good

A fabulous birthday dinner made extra special by Hannah's lovely table decorations and excellent table service from the young staff including making sure our friend's dairy allergy was well catered for. The food was simple as Italian food should be but full of lovely flavour and Phillipe cooked the fresh fish perfectly with a tasty sauce. We didn't have our dogs with us, but when we have been on previous occasions, the dogs have been spoiled rotten and enjoyed the night just as much as us. A fun night finished with Hannah's liquor guessing game (which I will get right one day Hannah!). Thank you Zucchini Team for making Steve's birthday special xx

Firstly and most importantly the food tasted great…although we did book primarily for our girls to have mussels and sadly there hadn’t been a delivery of any the day we went to the restaurant. Most of the party picked pasta dishes as mains and these were really tasty. One of the owners is Italian and he works in the kitchen providing an authentic meal. Portions were not big but we had all had enough food.First impressions of the place aren’t brilliant tbh. The exterior looks a bit scruffy and uninviting. I understand that running a business in todays climate can’t be easy and very expensive however all the floodlights in the car park we’re turned off, steps up to the entrance door had weeds growing through and then upon entering the restaurant it has a somewhat strange and musty smell.Service was a little odd, the evening wasn’t too busy when we arrived at 6pm yet it felt like we were waiting an age for drinks and the young team of staff seemed flustered. The other owner came over to our table and was great with feeding the dog in our party lots of treats and bringing activity sheets for our children. It was very obvious that she cares about the experience you have when there. All in all a mixed bag. Did we have a nice night? Well…it was ok. Could it have been better…yes probably. Would I go again? Possibly not.

After looking at reviews we decided to book a table for 2 . When we arrived the entrance to the restaurant and surrounding hotel grounds looked very outdated and un kept . We were sat down in the corner where it appeared to smell of damp and was full of cob webs there was only 2 other tables occupied so very quiet . We were served by a lady who seemed very nice and genuine but didn't listen to what we ordered. So when our pasta came out we noticed she gave my partner the wrong type of pasta. So we queried it and she confirmed it was the wrong one. They took it back left mine , to where the owner btw is very nice and appolgetic and even gave us a free bowl of chips and reheated My pasta. Eventually when my Partners pasta came out it was still with the wrong pasta but at this point we gave up and just ate it. While we were eating there was drilling going on on the outside the restaurant where they were putting up a canopy . They even got a ladies order wrong (next to us ) after repeating their order. After all this we left and still paid around £44 for 2 drinks a starter and 2 pasta dishes and a bowl of chips. Also something i don't agree with when they put a 12.5% service charge on your bill and you have to ask to take it off . This should be your choice not the restaurants choice. So all in all the place needs updating and maybe more training for staff. But I can imagine with the hours you are open and the prices you charge it doesn't bode well for the future.

Really nice food and friendly service, child and dog friendly, decor would benefit from a refresh.Kid-friendliness: Kids menus have puzzles and colouring to keep them happy between courses

We’ve been a few times and it’s been okay, not great but okay. We went on Friday evening as a treat, firstly every time they opened the kitchen door it stunk of bin juice, we did complain and the smell went so I’m guessing they put the bins out. Three of us chose the king prawn linguine, one without chilly, two with. Well they came and were very disappointing, Just a plain sauce with some prawns thrown in, all tasted the same so I don’t know if they took the chilly out of all of them. Another ordered the calzone, it wasn’t very big but was okay. For pudding we had a chocolate sundae which was nice, 2 crème brûlées which were disappointing for the price and ice cream that was melted before it got to us. I think the puddings are way overpriced at between £7.95-£9.50. 3 scoops of ice cream for £8! £160 for 4 people who had soft drinks, a main each and a pudding each. I don’t mind paying if the food is decent but I could of made these dishes at home, we won’t be coming back at that price.

I wish I never brought my family there to treat them for a meal, we left hungry and ended up in kfc. We ordered three pizzas - two at the price of nearly £16 and another at £12. The pizzas felt at best a starter size, or even a child pizza size and was very small for the price. The place has tasty food but it’s incredibly over priced for what you get, so be warned. To top this, they even tried to add service charge of nearly £12…not impressed!

We absolutely loved eating here. The food was amazing and the friendliness of the staff was unreal. We visited Perranporth for a weeks holiday and booked this as we had eaten so many times we just fancied some pasta. The pasta was soooo good. We just wish we had tried it earlier in our holiday. It has limited opening days, so we only visited once but would have gone every day had we known. As for the staff, they were so polite and friendly. We spoke to the owner, who just blew my mind. She was so lovely, she came with water and treats for our dog. Then she gave us an information sheet of what we should do in Cornwall. The very next day, we used the information including recommendations for other eateries. She was absolutely spot on. Again... this place and staff get my highest recommendation!! Everyone should go!!! Do it!!
