Very poor service, long delays, staff chatting to each other rather than serving customers. It's fine if you're at the Premier Inn next door, but I wouldn't travel to here.

Very understaffed on the three occasions we visited. Waited 10mins to be seated in an empty restaurant. The food is ok, but nothing to rave about.Vegetarian options: Very limited, especially as most options were sold out.

Just a run of the mill chain pub. But with extremely good service. Good selection of drinks and food available too.Not a bad place to spend an evening when traveling for work.

Poor service, waitress wasn’t bothered. Food wasn’t the worst, however not much effort was made with presentation, burger slapped on plate with a handful of chips and a dollop of Coleslaw. Flat soft drinks. Follows a trend here, used to be excellent now poor.

We were a party of 13+ service was fast and friendly. We had kids, a wheelchair and even asked for a photo to be taken. Staff were lovely and checked on us regularly.Parking: They have their own car park! Electric charging.Kid-friendliness: We had kids with us and again, nothing was too much trouble.Wheelchair accessibility: We had a wheelchair with us and had no problems at all, nothing was too much trouble. Staff were friendly and checked on us regularly.

Amazing friendly service by Ian and Jo with great food to match. Not overpriced.... Will definitely go again.

Not good, I suggest very poor management. There were far too many customers for the number of staff. The staff looked fed up, the service was terrible. No ales..in a pub! We had booked 6 days ahead, so they knew we were coming. This is not up to previous standards. Waiting over an hour for drinks and even longer for food. But I must say that what we had was good value for money. That alone isn't good enough. We do try to support our local establishments. Come on management!

What an experience this was. The manager who greeted us was outright rude. Throughout most of the time spent there was little or no food available. I don't just mean hot food but croissants, yoghurts, juice, etc. When these things briefly become available there is either no cups or plates or a large amount of people so empty is a minute or two. This is not somewhere we will be returning to. The one star is for the other member of staff, Molly, who was lovely. I feel for her with a manager like that!

Last time we visited 3yrs ago the service and food was a disaster. BUT OMG how it has improved welcoming, warm friendly atmosphere food cooked just perfect hang onto the Chef he cooked my husbands Rare Steak to perfection and our server Kirsty was fantastic ? will be going back very soon ? very impressed how it has turned its self around have recommended it to friends and family ?????

If you fancy a drink maybe the place for you...BUT food...I would emphasise to find somewhere else...my partners roast dinner looked like the chicken had seen Nam and was napalmed...my veggie roast I'm sure was confused with my child's course as it looked like a portion size for a 2 year old...no Yorkshire either....by all means looked microwaved or left under a heat lamp for a decade...so best advice stop for a drink...skip the foodVegetarian options: Say more about veggie options...I would rather suggest eat the moss off dartmoor

Awful food. Cold, dry and incomplete. Wrong items brought out, when they said they would change the meal they took ages to bring out the new meal we cancelled and left. It was not busy at all so they can't usetge as a reason. Also every other word the servers used were "darling" really unprofessional. There are other ways to be polite

Attempted an evening out for a family dinner, there were 4 of us, we were sat down at our table at 7:30pm, we left at 9pm only having had a starter and a drink in that time. My youngest child had 2 slices of garlic bread for his dinner because he was so tired before the mains even got to us! Hour and a half waiting for mains that still weren’t ready when we got up to leave! They offered us free desserts but obviously we didn’t want to have to sit there another hour waiting for that too. Diabolically poor service. Never again!

We stayed at the Premier Inn next door, and had the pleasure of enjoying a fantastic meal at Liskeard TavernSeeing the reviews about not being able to walk in and complaining about it shouldn't bother reviewing. The way they are running the bookings is amazing , they are ensuring there staff ain't over run , and this is great ,Also by limited numbers you are going to get a great service!! And that we did. Can't wait to eat here again

Been here a few times not great service thought we would give it another go… not accepting walk ins although the restaurant completely dead. Lots of outdoor seating and bar tables but didn’t get offered those either. We are local and definitely wouldn’t go back now it’s a joke. Spoons might not be the best food but you are guaranteed to get served and the staff are always friendly will stick to that next time.

Don’t bother with this placeTurned up early evening and the place was less than half fullStaff eventually came over to us and we were then informed that unless we were staying in the hotel next door we would not be served as they had no staff!!!So had to get my disabled wife back in the car and find a meal elsewhereExtremely unhelpful
