We were welcomed to this lovely pub and enjoyed a nice dinner. The service was very good with a charming landlady. Every body made our Golden Retriever very welcome so all in all, we would return if in the area.

Just returned from our evening at the Plough: interesting. Service was good, food generally was reasonable if over priced for the level of quality. The atmosphere was cosy, but we were sitting with a direct line of sight into the kitchen: mistake. I was distracted with kitchen staff repeatedly waving a floor mop in the air near the food prep area, as well as another one spraying cleaning liquid and rubbing with cleaning rags on the ceiling in the same area. I completely understand the need to keep your working kitchen as clean as possible, but the staff really should complete the work BEFORE to start prepping and serving, earlier in the day, and not in front of your paying customers.

This place was nice enough - the food was good and the interiors / general atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant. Just a word to the wise on ordering drinks - we ordered 2 orange and lemonades (usually a cheap drink) and they were charged at £6.75 each! The staff advised they charged individually for both the orange juice and the lemonade but I’ve never heard of this elsewhere and I feel that this should have been advised when we ordered. If I’d known I would’ve had a glass of wine instead - it would’ve cost less!

We had tow meals at the Plough in Duloe, an evening meal and Sunday lunch. We were made very welcome by the owner and the staff were great, effecient and polite. The portions and quality of the food weas very good. The restuarant was full which is always a good sign.

We visited last year while on holiday in the area and it was so lovely we had to come back this year! Food and service were still just as amazing. Our food came out quickly and was delicious. We felt very relaxed and not rushed. Our 2 dogs were very welcomed and looked after. We will definitely be back and recommend if you are in the area.

If this was the last pub in the world, I'd not go to it. Disgusting food, extremely abrupt staff, foul mouthed owner. Avoid at all costs.I went here for my nephews birthday, I travelled 230 miles, I was told my dietary requirements would be met, and they wasn't. The chef did not read what the waitress had written, I was spoken to extremely badly. This pub ruined my nephew's birthday. I'm extremely disappointed!

On arrival, found only roasts & one main on offer, apart for a veggie/vegan offer. Roasts were plentiful but the fish & chips was oily & lacked flavour. What I really disliked was the owners manner. My mother was confused, dementia, & the owner responded to any queries from her in a rather loud & patronising way, whilst winking at me she'd got this. I ordered an aperol spritz. She seemed utterly confused by what this was, loudly. I pointed it out on the menu & my accent was then mocked as being the reason she misunderstood. Can a regional accent really confuse a drink to that extent? There were too many instances of this woman being passive aggressive. Furiously cleaning tables while telling customers to relax, doesn't work. Not a place I'd go again.

Best pub in the area by far!! We had a lovely family meal here, the staff were all lovely and the food was AMAZING!! We had a couple of curries which we would definitely recommend, as they weren’t blow your head off hot but did have a slight kick (perfect for us!). The fish and chips and steak were cooked perfectly too! (Well done to the chef and lads in the kitchen). The girls serving were lovely and everyone treated us amazingly, including our dog who was given treats and definitely gives his paw of approval! (Pictured) Would 100% recommend!

This lovely spot is well-attended by locals so booking is a must. Fresh food and helpful, efficient staff make it a relaxing place to unwind and eat. We had scallops and chicken for starters - both fresh and well prepared, Fish and chips for both of us on the night! The portion was generous and freshly fried. Loved the chips and peas on the side too. Sadly we had no room this time for dessert - but next time, definitely! We also enjoyed a glass of wine from the Knightor Winery.

After an un justified last review. What a load of scathing??? Just wow! Let's hope no one ever does that to you! We have eaten at the plough at least twice a week for over a year. And thats after high end fine dining for a decade in London . We wont eat anywhere else. You clearly have no ides what you are spouting about

Food is awful and I was up all night being sick and on the toilet. Staff are very rude. Avoid! Toilet was in a disgusting mess with stuff all over the floor

A fabulous meal at this wonderful pub. The staff couldn’t do enough and the food was outstanding. Great beer too. Will definitely be back.

A terribly disappointing dining experience for us and I wouldn’t recommend this venue for a special occasion. Moreover, we have been ill after the meal and still feel sick. It’s not the special memories we hoped to make together and we would never visit again.

We visit the Plough for meals every year when we’re on holiday in Looe. We’ve always found it friendly with good food and excellent service and this visit has been no exception. Generous servings of delicious food. Good wine and 1st class Doombar. Winnie, our dog, was made most welcome and treated to a few tasty morsels. Don’t be put off by the odd bad review.

We were made to feel very welcome from the minute we walked through the door. The staff were all friendly and attentive. We had starters of mussels and smoked mackerel pate both were very tasty and well presented. This was followed by the Roast Beef which was cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back.
