This was a thank you break for me and my partner and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The owners were friendly on arrival and very knowledgeable of the town and happy to help with any questions we had. The room was very clean, spacious and well equipped. Breakfast was lovely and good well. Would recommend the guest house.

This is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in, it really is a credit to the couple (Stephanie and Andrew) who run it. Everything is immaculate, the rooms, the common areas and breakfast room are all spotlessly clean and lovingly cared for. The breakfasts are exceptional, beautifully cooked to order and a good selection of options with all the ingredients being of a very good quality. Every day the rooms are cleaned to a very good standard. The location of the hotel is really good, opposite the river and not far from the town centre. We were lucky enough to get free parking in the car park just opposite the hotel, although I understand this is subject to availability. Would not hesitate to go back, both me and my partner had a wonderful time and the hosts are very friendly and helpful.

This is the most wonderful B&B we’ve stayed at for many years. So friendly and helpful with lots of lovely little touches that make us feel welcome. The owners are a fount of local knowledge. The room is comfortable with a great view of the estuary and very close to the town centre and the bus and train supports. The full English breakfast is tasty and their toast is especially nice.

Excellent hotel in a great location. Fridge in the room - tea & coffee making facilities, fresh milk provided daily. Free parking (permit provided). Lovely comfortable bed. Towels changed on request. Lots of little touches in the room. Lovely breakfast, cooked to order ( thanks - we really enjoyed them) . Andrew & Stephanie are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable hosts. We recommend this hotel - great place to stay.

The hotel is within a short walk of shops, restaurants and the beach. The room was spotless and the amenities provided were all that you could need. The breakfasts were first class and any requests catered for. The hosts Stephanie and Andrew were efficient, kind and fun. Would definitely stay there again.

The decor and furnishings were lovely and of exceptional quality. The room was spacious and comfortable and the breakfast was amazing with lots of choice. I would recommend this guest house. Only downside though is its not suitable for disabled as lots of steps. It was definitely one of the nicest guest houses I've ever stayed in.

Stephanie and Andrew are so welcoming and made us feel like friends rather than customers. A lovely cup of tea on our arrival whilst Andrew took our luggage up to our room. The location is perfect, right by the bridge and a car park opposite (with a permit parking badge from the Guest House). Very comfy bed and lovely selection for Breakfast. It was very hot, so a lovely electric fan was made available to help cool the room. Will definitely stay here again, if we return to Looe. Very slight down side is that there a lot of steps - but that is Looe!!

We recently travelled to Cornwall on a weeks whistle stop tour starting in Looe, staying at Mousehole and ending in Padstow, before travelling back to Swansea. We thought we would wait until we got home before writing a review so a fair comparison could be made of the places we stayed. The Dolphin in Looe was the least expensive booking but it leaves the others behind. From the moment we arrived it oozes welcome, Stephanie and Andrew in our opinion are the perfect hosts, there is nothing that is too much trouble. All the rooms we saw have boutique styling with lots of little touches that make the difference. The outlook over the Estuary/River from the front sun lounge is fantastic wether your enjoying a pot of tea in the morning or a drink in the evening it’s a great place to relax. The decoration throughout is immaculate and tasteful. The bars and restaurants are just a very short walk away but the Hotel is located such that you are away from the hustle and bustle. Breakfast is an occasion with the choice of a traditional Cornish delight , fresh fish and eggs and lots more. All the ingredients are first class and prepared and presented with care. The little touches of styling are evident throughout the Hotel and Stephanie and Andrew deserve recognition for the great little place this is . If your travelling to a Looe the Dolphin has to be top of your list.
