After reading the reviews, I had hoped for a good meal, and received an exceptional meal instead! If you want a guaranteed quality meal, with great service, then this, in my opinion, is the only place to dine in Lostwithiel. The couple that run this restaurant are so very talented, and clearly love what they do. And you can tell this from the service and meal.

Thank you so much to Kerris and Jordan, our lunch today was amazing. We were made to feel very welcome, our daughter's allergies catered for, very hospitable all round. Perfect.Look forward to seeing you again soon.?Kid-friendliness: Immaculate toddler high chair provided.

What a fantastic find. The service was second to none and the food was exceptionally well executed. Dietary requirements were tailored to a very high standard, I have got used to eating something lesser than those around me once the gluten and dairy elements are removed, this meal was wonderful, a real culinary experience. Thank you

An absolute treat, can't recommend it enough. One of the best restaurants I have been to in a long time. Amazing food, incredibly delicious and a brilliant setting.

At last we've found somewhere local that serves delicious food cooked with love and care! What a lovely place, little more than a back room with kitchen, this cosy and welcoming little restaurant made a bleak and wet November night magical. We were the only guests that evening (don't be put off booking though, there are only 10 covers and it can be very busy) and it felt we had our own private chef in Jordan with his partner Kerris as front of house. What a great couple, both of them taking time to talk with us during our meal. The menu is short, seasonal and changed monthly. My husband Andy started with the scallops, beautifully cooked and presented and, in his words, probably the best scallop dish he'd ever had! I had the smoked salmon risotto and wow was it delicious, perfectly cooked, the salmon had a subtle smoke and the rice creamy but not claggy or heavy. We followed with Venison for Andy and Belly Pork for me. Two more excellent dishes, full of flavour and obviously cooked with love. Whist the portions were large, too much for me but Andy's always there to help me out, we couldn't resist sharing the baked cheesecake to finish the meal. We will be back - and soon

Excellent dinner at this intimate little restaurant. Everything was top class; locally sourced ingredients cooked and presented to perfection. Impeccable service was super friendly and relaxed. Some of the very best food we’ve EVER had in Cornwall !!

My wife and I have been before with friends and all really enjoyed the à la carte menu so we knew the Italian theme night would be excellent, but even still it exceeded our expectations. Food, service and drinks (especially the home made limoncello) were all fantastic, so good in fact that we’ve booked straight back in for a few weeks time.

Booked almost a year in advance for my birthday. So glad I did, the service, food and everything about this place is fantastic. A hidden gem that's down a little alleyway next to a vintage shop in the village of Lostwithiel. Big thanks to Jordan and Kerris for a beautiful evening ❤️❤️❤️

My husband Peter and I cannot give this wonderful little restaurant enough praise!!! This is our third visit and the food is just utterly exquisite! Carys and Jordan are just a wonderful team. Carys is very caring and attentive and so friendly and warm. Jordan's cooking is off the scale. We will return every single visit to Lostwithiel (which is every year!) and our daughter and partner also visited for the first time just a week ago on our recommendation and they could not praise it enough. We thoroughly recommend this gem of a restaurant. The other rather lovely aspect it is very small. seats 10. Perfect. God bless you both and long may you continue. Josie and Peter Cropredy. xx

Went to this tiny restaurant with fixed price lunch menu and we enjoyed lovely food which was well cooked and beautifully presented. Good friendly service. Recommended.

Quite honestly the best meal I’ve eaten out for ages. Lovely unique venue and service was excellent. I highly recommend this small restaurant.

Rarely am I compelled to write a review for a restaurant, but The Restormel Kitchen deserves every bit of its five stars. Jordan and Kerris have created an unpretentious space, with incredible food with great Cornish provenance and a lovely, intimate atmosphere. They are both extremely good at what they do. I had the sardines and seafood risotto, both delicious. My partner chose beef kofta followed by hake and was also very satisfied with his choices. Wine recommendation was perfect too. My only complaint was that I had no room for dessert as I could have chosen everything on offer! I wish this hidden gem every success and hope to be back. You will not be disappointed.

Was fortunate enough to be invited to a buffet evening which allowed the chef to delight us with a fantastic variety of dishes, ranging from mouth watering caramelised onion tart, pork belly, and delicious pasties that crumbled in the mouth, to my favourite a chicken curry with intoxicating subtle flavours.. delicious! The Kitchen is compact with only a few tables - so be sure to book - the atmosphere is cosy and warm with super front of house service able to discuss the ingredients and their provenance as well as the wines It’s a must visit
