We rung up to make an take away order 20 minutes before they closed and was spoken to very bluntly the lady was very rude me and my partner was both gob smacked after rudely being hung up on we decided to ring back to complain, this time a gentleman answered who was also very blunt and rude. Very poor customer service would not recommend.

The owners really don't deserve the local trade or tourism trade as they are ruder than rude. They don't appreciate their customers and treat them like trash, I've experienced this personally they won't even help with prices if you can't read the menu they just ridicule you for being dyslexic and humiliation is their tactic.

We were on holiday in this beautiful town of Lostwithiel we decided to get fish and chips on our last night we had been warned that the woman in the chip shop was rude and she was very rude and does not deserve the trade !

My husband and I had fish & chips and a couple of bottles of sugar free lemonade, the best fish and chips we had tasted in a very long time they were so ? ?.. not a morsel was left plenty of S/V on them too just as I asked.Staff were very friendly, too, all environmentally friendly paper, and bag, we then went to eat them by the river, and really enjoyed ? will definitely have them again next week of our holiday ??...

The man and old woman where very rude and disrespectful towards you. So I advise going somewhere else and not to spend your money there and go somewhere

Faulty Towers must be the training video for the staff here - if you like to be shouted at and patronised as every customer is with a ‘my love’ on the end of every sentence that they think excuses their behaviour - this is your place for mediocre food.

Well this fish and chips will keep you alive but don’t go of the beaten path to get it! Not enough chips for a large portion, fish was not succulent and a bit over cooked inside, service was like a slap in the face with a wet fish and not a smile in sight, I got the feeling that if I wasn’t there they could Shut up shop and go home! Should have taken a packed lunch like biscuits or something.
Arrived when the chip shop opened. Chips were lovely and fresh. Fish okay, just slightly overcooked.

We have put up with being treated like dirt every time we have visited Lostwithiel because the fish n chips were good but this time they were awful. Expensive and poor quality.

Rudest lady serving in this shop ever!! I didn’t stay. She told me to get out of the shop & in the queue when I had just popped into look at the menu and when I said this she told me not to bother as they are running out of food so it was unlikely I’d get served anyway!!Unbelievable

14/07/23 & possibly the wetest and windiest day ever.The lady working here was more concerned about us leaving our umbrella outside on the street. Quite rude. Needless to say we didn't stop here. So many other welcoming places to eat in lostwithial.
