“We stayed at Pentire hotel and decided to try the restaurant as it was very convenient, specially after a tiring day out! We didn't have a booking but asked if there was any tables avilable like 1hr before and they were happy to take us.
The place is very nice and carefully decorated. Food was very tasty and well presented, we ordered halloumi fries, fried fish (can't remember the name!!) and x2 sirloin steaks, ended full and very satisfied, everything was super good!
Service was very nice as well so 100% recommended, would repeat if we go back to Newquay :)
Parking: There is parking in the place but not too big and shared with the hotel guests, so if it's busy there may not be spaces.”

“Review for Butchers Bistro We've been in Cornwall for four nights, and without a doubt, the best meal we've had was at Butchers Bistro. The food was simply outstanding. I had the scallops and fillet steak, and both were cooked to absolute perfection—hands down the best I’ve ever had. It’s rare to find a steak that is so well-cooked and full of flavor, but they nailed it here. During our trip, we also dined at Rick Stein’s and Paul Ainsworth’s restaurants, but tonight’s meal at Butchers Bistro topped them all. My husband had the steamed mussels and a medium steak, and he was just as impressed. The quality of the ingredients, the skill in the cooking, and the depth of flavor made this a truly exceptional dining experience. If you’re in Cornwall and looking for the best food around, Butchers Bistro is the place to go. A must-visit for steak lovers and seafood fans alike!”
