Beer! Second time in 12 months here I try really outstanding beer! Session NEIPA was very good, but stout….it was just unbelievable! Super balanced taste that I haven’t been trying for a long time. And they have really tasty food here! Both hot dog and burgers were tasty, and really seem to be home made (not just assembled from components purchased somewhere in a supermarket ). And they give napkins!!!! More than one per person! I think it’s my first such an experience in the UK. Love you guys! Keep going!

My family and I had our first experience of Axe throwing today at WAX Newquay. Our instructor Sam was so friendly and very knowledgeable. We felt really comfortable with the instructions we were given and the tips he was able to give based on our throws on how to achieve better were spot on. Highly recommend this as both a family activity (over 12) or a group trip out. We never tried the food, so we are unable to review that on this occasion.

Had an absolutely amazing meal here with my hubby whilst on holiday in the area, the food was delicious, very good quality and tasty, service was great, very friendly staff, can't fault a thing. We both had meals from the specials board, I had the chicken supreme and husband had the steak and ale pie where he changed the mash to chips which was no problem. Husband said it was the best pie he's had in ages really tasty filling with really tender meat and the shortcrust pastry that surrounded the pie was lovely too. Choose this pub through the already good Google reviews so here's another. If we holiday in the area in the future we'll be sure to return!

Lovely little cafe to have breakfast at. The avocado on toast is one of the best avo on toasts I’ve had, seasoned very well and the pico de gallo was a lovely addition. The poached eggs were well cooked, with no runny whites.

The pancakes were lovely, light and fluffy and the compote and clotted cream was yummy.

I also got the halloumi burger, which I wasn’t a fan of. For a big ciabatta roll I only got 3 slices of halloumi, which weren’t overly thick either. It didn’t cover the whole sandwich so there was half the roll left over. The chill jam wasn’t the best I’ve had either. This was 2/5.

Everything else, was amazing. Even the latte and orange juice was fresh and the coffee was good.

It’s a friendly atmosphere. What I would say is we visited Cornwall during a storm, and the cafe had the door propped open. This made the front of the shop very cold, we got a seat at the back and the cold wasn’t an issue there.

They don’t take cash, which is annoying but I guess normal now. I did want to go back, but had no money on my card so it was a shame I couldn’t eat there again.

It’s possibly the best sushi I’ve ever had, be warned it will take over your life and the sole purpose to anything you do: your pay check will suddenly be divided by 4.5 to tell you how many rolls your can afford.

Delicious food with fresh ingredients, friendly staff, great atmosphere and decor, and very reasonable prices. This is my favourite place to eat and drink in Newquay. Went back the next day. They weren’t open to the public that evening but made space for us anyway. First class experience.

Absolutely superb lunch and can't wait to return. From the moment we arrived, we were excited and energised by the staff we met in the garden! They were full of fun and enthusiasm for the pub/restaurant. We sat next to the woodburner and we were so well looked after by the team from wine and non alcoholic pairings to selections from the menu. Would highly recommend the hashbrown, truffle mayo and caviar - a real treat and such an amazing way to start the meal. We had the monk fish and short rib... both seriously tasty and full of great flavour. The chocolate pud and deep fried mars bar were simply sensational! (As was the pudding wine!). Honestly could recommend this place enough. A little pricey but worth it for a very special treat. Thank you so much to the whole team x

Great Western Surf Café

This is such a lovely place to come, its quiet during the week in the mornings and has a great breakfast and lunch menu with local produce the tea and coffee is lovely and they do a great deal on coffee/tea and a slice of cake for £6, the cakes really nice, if your on a tight budget and have a family then its nice for a few things as a treat and has a lovely play area for smaller children. The views are stunning and they have music live bands on a Friday it can get pretty busy and its always a nice mood if you're into that, its a dog friendly bar with treats and water available for your pampered lived ones. Really nice place. 10/10

Second visit not great food was fine but came 30 mins after the rest of my group had been given theirs really poor apology not bothered at all ,on two occasions the staff came over to enquire to see if I had got my food 15 minutes apart not good enough. To add to the atmosphere killer you have to order by app and they even ask for a tip prior to the staff actually doing anything which surmounted to the chef not cooking my meal and the waiting staff bringing it to the table eventually ,the customer does the rest . Poor show on all levels so impersonal and a poor service all round.

Very friendly staff, the views from the restaurant are amazing, and it is nice to sit outside and look at the beach. It's even nice to sit inside on a rainy day. The pizzas are always cooked very well and extremely delicious. I often order for collection and the pizzas have always been perfectly cooked. I gave 4 stars, only because on a few occasions when I’ve collected my pizza (at the allocated collection time), it has been slightly cold. Apart from this minor issue, I really like the pizzas and I would highly recommend the Gluten Free (GF) pizzas, as they are easy on the stomach. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that loves a great pizza.

After a recent move from the main hotel building, Zacry’s now occupies the space vacated by Emily Scott’s restaurant (and formally ‘Watchful Mary’). It’s a stunning venue literally on the sea shore- with diners feeling as if they are almost hovering above the surf. Amazing in winter and I would imagine summer sunsets will add another memorable layer to this experience. The open kitchen ensures that the hard work and attention to detail of the chef’s team are on display. Interesting without being noisy or intrusive. We started with Smoky Beet cocktails which were sensational. Highly recommend! The food and service were impeccable. We loved the charred leeks and the scallop starters. Would also recommend the Lions Mane, Newlyn Hake and Cornish pork chop from the menu we had. Desserts were also great - we chose the panna cotta which was light, flavourful and delicious and the Cornish fairings. Great! The service was friendly and attentive and made for a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We will return!

Ate here as a family on Wednesday evening and was more than satisfied. I called to make the reservation late on on Wednesday afternoon after being unable to get a reservation at a couple of smaller places. The waiter was able to oblige and when we arrived the team made us feel very welcome. The food, a fillet steak and mushroom penne dish, a Cornish Scallop, prawn and tomato linguine dish and a margarita pizza were all delicious and cooked beautifully. We live locally and will definitely be back soon to enjoy more delights at this gem of a restaurant.

Popped in for a coffee and cake with my sister whilst in the area. And was well impressed with the place. When I asked if it was possible to have a piece of dark fruit cake with some cheese, all the staff from kitchen came out to see me as they had not heard of it before. I explained it was a Northern thing!
I offered one of the staff a tase and she was impressed with how well they go together.

The Pizza Box may be small but it is one of my favourite places to get pizzas because it’s welcoming,friendly and overall an amazing place for food.

When I usually get food from The Pizza Box , I open the car boot and sit there and eat pizza as I watch the sunset. It’s quite calming

The coffee is superior to anywhere to be honest, I used to be a Starbucks girlie but have since converted, the coffee is always spot on 10/10, on the whole the staff are lovely, 4 stars for atmosphere purely because the music is usually too loud, I like to hear the person I'm sat talking with eith a little music in the back ground I don't like to be able to hear it so loud it draws my attention and it's never good music either lol. Other than that can't fault it.

Along with a group of friends we stayed at Seaside House one of Classic Cottages properties in Little Haven.

The property was excellent with a high level of furnishings and amenities and outstanding views out to the beach and sea. The hot tub was a real bonus.

This is coupled with a beautiful location with great coastal walks and some great friendly pubs serving good food, beer and wines.

I would highly recommend this property and location!

It's not just the food and drinks that are extremely delicious - what the chef conjures up in his small, open kitchen is absolutely amazing. It's also the nice people, the cool interior and the good music (think pre-1990, gothic rock, post punk, new wave...) that make this restaurant so exceptional. If we ever come back to Newquay (we're from Germany, unfortunately it's a bit of a long journey), we'll see each other again. I'm looking forward to some great tapas, cocktails and the nice staff. We felt very comfortable with you.

By far the best vegetarian Sunday Lunch I've had for some time. So nice that somewhere offers vegetarian as well as vegan these days rather than lumping non meat eaters together ( many non meat eaters still want cheese!)

The roulade was lovely, all elements of the meal were of great quality, and you could taste that. Also plenty of gravy too, which is always a welcome touch.

Great quality, well made, this is now top of my Sunday list.?
