Used to be regulars but have been slowly going off due to the high staff turn over.Unwelcoming floor manager, lovely waiting staff though. Food was below average. Obviously frozen fries, dry bread for a BLT which also feels as if it’s a consequence of the defrosting process. Uninteresting dessert, that was poorly presented and bland. Priced for the excellent location, but quality doesn’t match that expectation.

I had chosen this place based upon my previous excellent experiences. The atmosphere was great, views spectacular and staff very helpful. But, the food and the delay in receiving said food were both disappointing. We had both ordered the sweet potato gnocchi which when it finally arrived was more like sweet potato nuggets! We tried valiantly to eat our food but had to admit defeat. The taste was great but the texture was very underwhelming. The restaurant did not charge us for the food, and offered us a replacement or complimentary dessert which we accepted. I am left wondering how such food was allowed to leave the kitchen and sad that, for me, this will be the last time I visit Lewinnick Lodge for food.

This is truly a diamond of a place, I have never been to an establishment where every single member of staff is absolutely first class. The view is beautiful, the location is peaceful, and the food is exquisite. We stayed in a superior room, it was fantastic. Already got the next visit booked, this is one of the best hotels you'll ever find in the entire world.Rooms: Huge bed, luxury bathroom and lovely tea/coffee facilities- with real milk too, no UHT here! ?

Disappointed. Went for a meal and the food was OK but service was very slow; both the bar and restaurant were only half full so it wasn't overly busy. Ordered and paid for 2 courses but never got the dessert as we ran out of time even though we told staff we had limited time and what time our taxi was coming. Disappointing.

The Christmas lunch was really good today. Everything perfectly cooked and we were even thinking of breaking into the kitchen and stealing a jug of gravy to take home. Who on earth rants about gravy? I have to say it was out of this world and everything else on the plate was perfect too. Some innovative ideas including the Christmas pudding crackers which were unbelievable good - it's so nice to try something different. The kitchen staff excelled themselves and the restaurant manager's attention to detail and our needs, were second to none. She really does need a special mention as despite a very busy service, she kept everything running smoothly. I hope Lewinnick look after her, she would be very hard to replace and no, I don't know her personally! To end the perfect meal we sat back replete, glass in hand and watched a seal just yards from the water's edge. This is our fourth or fifth visit this year and is rapidly becoming our 'go to' place when we want a perfect meal and views to enjoy. We shall return.

We have eaten at the pub numerous times over the years. This time the food was no where near as good. We ordered the goats cheese starter - very bizarre combination with honeycombe and the smallest amount of cheese - too sweet for a starter. I ordered a side of Brocolli alongside my mains which had been over cooked and was just close to being baby food. The squid was just bizarre - did not resemble squid and looked like it had come straight out of the freezer. Such a shame for this fantastic location

We visited here for a celebratory meal last week and we had such a great experience! Fantastic food, and we were really impressed that the restaurant staff asked about food allergies and intolerances when we were placing our order. Although we can't afford to visit on a regular basis, we will be back to celebrate very special occasions! Thankyou Team LewinnickFood & drinks: Excellent selection of food and drinks. Staff were knowledgeable about allergies, and able to advise which dishes would not be suitable.

My Grandaughter took me for an evening meal. The decor was lovely. We were met by a smiling waitress who showed us to our table. The service was first class and the food amazing.
This is our second year in a row eating at the lodge for our works Christmas lunch. The meal was excellent and the service from Gina was outstanding.

Love this wonderful place. The rooms are amazing - sea views to die for, comfort and understated luxury. Added to that, the staff are really lovely - genuinely nice, friendly and confident, they want you to have the best time possible - always making sure you get the best table available, etc. Julien and his team make delicious cocktails and everything is done with charm and efficiency. We’ll be back soon.

We visited for a pre-booked lunch........and bearing in mind how popular the place clearly is, that was the correct decision. Excellent food, well cooked and served with a smile - they even cleaned the windows whilst we were there to help improve the view out to sea

My wife and I had a voucher to use for a dinner. We also stayed the night here in January and also had a meal that night too. The food is of an amazing quality and tasted great. The place is lovely with amazing views of the sea crashing onto the rocks. Our server Gina was a lovely girl and very friendly and helpful. The room we had in January was top quality and so relaxing, even had classic FM on the radio, the bed was massive and comfortable.
