Assumed it was a chain but turns out it’s a family run business, the ramen broth was incredible, 10/10

I enjoyed the shrimp chili ramen . The broth is delicious. The edame appetizer is very satisfying. My husband had the beef bulgogi, very tender. Nice meal on. a rainy day.

We’ve been meaning to pop in here for ages so decided to give it a go. Atmosphere was lovely, front of house staff were very helpful and friendly. We had the pork gyozas and Korean fried chicken for starters, both were delicious! My partner had the Katsu chicken curry and I had the beef dish (cannot remember the name, sorry! But it’s in the photos) - the beef fell apart it was so tender, and my partner who is very hard to please! Said it was one of the best Katsu curries he’s ever had! Lovely evening out, it’s not the cheapest place to eat in town, just shy of £68 for two starters, two mains a beer and a vodka diet; but we think it was worth every penny and will definitely be back!

We were allowed to book a table right when the restaurant opened at 5:30pm, we arrived and the shutters were closed. Somebody opened them half way at 5:37pm and we gave up waiting about 5 minutes later. I refused to eat there purely on the basis of unprofessionalism; if we can book for 5:30 the restaurant should be open and ready for customers at that time. We were very excited for the food too, rip.

Unpretentious pan-Asian restaurant right in the centre of Newquay. Wish we had tried it ages ago. We live in Newquay and it's right up there among the best places to eat. Not fancy surroundings, but a deft and light hand in the kitchen produced some beautiful flavours. Front of house were friendly and overall we left full of lovely food and determined to return.

We are local and I came across this lovely Japanese restaurant by chance. The food was amazing and the service was impressive. Damian pulled out all the stops. He’s friendly, welcoming and very professional. We had the pork gyozas, Japanese fried chicken, Korean beef and the teriyaki fillet steak. Loved it! ?? x

Not the best Japanese food I've had... I ordered the King prawn chilli ramen, and was really looking forward to it as its 1 of my favourite dishes. Unfortunately the prawns were definitely frozen before and most tasted stodgy. When your paying high end prices for food, you would expect fresh ingredients. Staff were friendly though and at least they had decent beer of draught...

The best meal we had whilst in Newquay. Food was excellent and tasted great! My partners words were “oh wow” when tasting the JFC. Compliments to the chef. Staff were amazing. Would definitely recommend and will definitely go again when back in Newquay.

We were delightfully surprised how good this eatery was. Asian fusion with a broad range of options for all kinds of eaters and some really delicious cocktails to boot. We used to live in Japan and felt the flavors were authentic with a modern kick. We will definitely go back the next time we're in town!

Haven’t been here in a while so decided to pop in. Luckily there was a spare table as we hadn’t booked. Very kind of them and the staff were friendly. Lovely food! Thank you!

Started great… I love Japanese, and I’m very fond of Korean food, so when I saw the J.F.C starter on offer I was delighted. And it didn’t disappoint. Despite being ‘fried’, it wasn’t greasy at all, even though it was thigh meat. It was the perfect sized portion too. It left me super excited to try my main. However ? The consistency of the Raisukaree Curry was, goopy. I can’t think how else to describe it. It’s rare that I actively dislike a food. I rate meals on the whole experience. In this case, that aside, I would go as far as to say it was highly unpleasant. In fact, gross. The initial taste was citrusy, then it completely flatlined, before ending on ‘ricey’. I can’t get rid of the thick starchy goop covering my tongue and gums. I’m so disappointed because it started fabulously. I just wish I’d ordered something else. The rice wasn’t ‘sticky’ as advertised either, and the main portions were small. Both of us are sat here litterally gagging on the after taste (we both had the Raisukaree). Even the dog turned his lip up. I really hope the chef sees this review and has a revamp because Newquay neeeeds a Japanese restaurant. My friend’s Hirate buns were fantastic, so I know the chef definitely has it in them. I just wonder if they’re actually tasting as they cook?

Really tasty food, both me and my partner enjoyed our meals! As well as the service from friendly staff, nice setting in the heart of Newquay with delicious Japanese/Asian cuisine. Would recommend as portions are good and quality follows suit. Try it yourself if not anything ✌?
