We went here for my daughters 12th birthday and had a great night. The staff were lovely and pick-up the facts that it was here bday. When her desert came out the whole restaurant sang to her. Great night we will definitely be back.

Oh dear where to start! Lets start with the good. Great venue. We went for the flatbread friday. But it went downhill from there. We were early and were made to sit outside and told someone would come out and take our drinks order. Half an hour later we were still being totally ignored. Eventually someone realised we had been sitting there for ever. Drinks were very slow to arrive after 2 lots of other drinks were brought to us before making their way to the right table. We ended up eating outside as our dog found the live music too loud (our choice) but it was too dark to read the limited menu, however the starters were nice. When the flatbread came to say it was burnt was an under statement and the charcoal taste masked any taste that was in the topping. So disappointed as we had high expectations for an expensive dining experience.

This is better. This is how to do it. We came a few days ago and they had live music on. I’m all for live music but it was too loud and uncomfortable. Tonight, 15/09, this guy is excellent. Really talented.

Really great food. The two waiting staff, young blonde woman who served my family and I; and young chap work very hard to keep things moving. All around great experience!

Our third and 'final' annual family visit to the Lobster Shed. It's been progressively getting less and less attractive, the prices are now ridiculous and I say that looking at my Paul Ainsworth receipts which are much more worthwhile. £ 28 for the cheapest Rump cut of beef, which was desperate for chips for an extra £ 4.75, £7.75 for a can of beer - come on ! The service was friendly but very slow to reach our table, especially with drinks and again not worthy of the 12.5% service charge. I do hope your loyal followers keep you afloat, but I suspect you will run out of tourists when there is so much better competition out there.

We often eat at The Pig when we visit the area but this was our first visit to The Lobster Shed. A lovely sunny September day, it was the end of season lobster close and there was live music. Service seemed rushed and we just wanted to have done drinks before we ate. We both ordered the herb and chilli chicken breast with garlic mayo and garden slaw along with a side of fries. The chicken was delicious, tasty, not overpowered with chilli, perfectly complimented by the cool mayo and colourful slaw. The fries were hit and crispy. A couple of glasses of the Sussex Pinot rose which was dry and sharp. Really enjoyed our meal and planning to visit later this week for the launch of Flatbread Friday

Excellent customer service and outstanding cuisine.

Over priced, poor service and average food. Misleading by using the name of The Pig Hotel.

Struggled to get more than one drink throughout the entirety of the meal. The lobster was more like a big cray fish.the steak was very overpriced and only able to be cooked “well done or pink”. Overall it seems like a tourist trap not an authentic sea food experience.

Nice atmosphere and attentive service - food was good. A fun place for lunch, which we really enjoyed. Allowed dogs too (which the Pig doesn’t).

This was our first visit, it had been recommended by a friend. We booked it when we booked our holiday. It was the last day of our holiday and a family celebration. We were a group of 10 and had a outside table as the weather was lovely. It also allowed the children to run around outside while waiting for our food. The service was very good and the food was excellent, everyone enjoyed it. Between us we had the Lobster, crab, squid and the fish children meals. We could not fault anything and would certainly visit again. To finish off we had a lovely walk on the hill in Harlyn bay.
