Just stayed here for the first time. Rooms are beautiful with wonderful views. We had dinner in the bar which was also very good. The bar & the rooms are dog friendly.

I’ll keep it short…. Booked for Sunday Roast around 1.15, £20 per roast, I chose chicken and partner chose pork. Ordered and paid at the bar so £50ish quid with drinks. Food arrived promptly, well presented but was honestly the most disappointing meal I’ve had in a long time! Chicken was dry, roast potatoes had a weird tang, the yorkshire looked great but had a weird texture, gravy was watery, the veg which was served separately was boiled to death and floppy and to top it off, no stuffing?!? We both struggled to eat it, partner was getting embarrassed because it was quiet in the bar and she thought staff could see I wasn’t eating, tried to palm some off to the dog but he wouldn’t eat it either?!? Anyway in short, staff were nice but we left gutted that we paid £50 and still hungry. They did check to see if we were okay but there was no way we were eating anything else there and I’m not the person to demand cash back! Shame but probably won’t go back…..

On entering the pub we thought what lovely cosy setting , very old world with beams , and busy ,we then went through to a very modern restaurant, which didn't seem to match the quaintness of the pub , we were welcomed by a waitress and seated and given menus , my 1st thought was it was cold in there yes there were only 3 tables dining in the huge space , but you should still feel warm. The wine menu was extremly limited if you didn't want a bottle, and just wanted a glass I ordered a dry pino grigio rose , when it arrived it was very sweet I asked had a mistake been made, and I'd been given a zinfandel instead , but the waitress returned saying no it was correct, I asked could I swap it as it was way too sweet , and most definitely not dry as a pino should be ,which they allowed but there was no other rose options by the glass so had to opt for a white pino instead. We then placed our order my husband ordered the pate and at £12.00 we thought quite expensive for a starter, but thought it must be something special I ordered the prawn and crayfish cocktail, again £14.00 for a starter which I've never paid in a pub restaurant, These prices are more high end restaurant, which this place is certainly not.my husband ordered the shepards pie off the special board to be told sorry i don't think there's any left , it sold out at lunchtime ( so why wasn't it removed from the board ), it wasn't exactly busy in the restaurant. It still wasn't removed after our order as a couple who came in 20 mins after us ordered it again to be told again no sorry it sold out . Our starters arrived and quite frankly we're nothing special for the money my husband had a small pot of pate a couple of small pieces of French toast and some beetroot pickle mine was a dish with iceberg lettuce with very cheap small prawns thrown inside covered in a spicy sauce no sign of any crayfish , for the price it was downright disgraceful I'd of expected a beautiful glass dish featuring what was advertised and maybe a longastine for decoration, but it was a cheap prawn cocktail aka 1970"s style. No service check was done throughout our starters, even though 4 waitresses were stood around by the kitchen doing nothing much , when the dishes were collected by a young girl I mentioned the lake of crayfish for her to say I will go speak to the chef , so I expected her to do so and return with an explanation, but no nothing , when the mains came it was a different waitress she was new that evening as she told us she was training earlier ,I again mentioned my disappointment at the starter , and she said she would speak to the manager . She actually did and returned saying the crayfish wasn't up to standard so they chose not to include it ,they did rake it off the bill, but sorry if you cannot provide the ingredients that's on the menu then you apologise and offer an alternative, or say are you happy to receive it without one of the main ingredients and don't just serve it and say nothing, thinking the customer will pay for something that's missing the main ingredient. We chose the pork belly main it was nice but we expected separate dishes of vegetables not it just all thrown on one plate with no care really taken apart from a pice of crackling stuck upright in the mash. Sorry but This meal was well below average for the prices the place is charging . We never leave a restaurant without leaving a tip but sorry the whole experience left of feeling one wasn't deserved last night . I would definitely not recommend this place nor would I return . Its over priced cheap quality food, The one waitress that was okay and doing her job was the new lady , but all the others seemed like they just couldn't be bothered.

Such lovely staff and wonderful food. Came here with a group of friends and got a bit stuck with needing cash for taxi back and the staff were so kind sorting out cash for us and making sure we wee ok. The food was really tasty and great and really lovely service. Would definitely recommend to friends and family if in the area.

Restaurant review only. We visited with friends (their recommendation as they live in the area). The restaurant definitely didn't disappoint with fantastic dishes and attention to detail. Staff were friendly and attentive. Everyone on the table enjoyed their meals (starters and mains).Food was cooked to a high standard and you could watch the chefs prepare this from your table or look out the incredible view from the dining area across the moors out to the sea.We also loved the interior decoration and design. This created an incredible atmosphere to the pub.

We have stayed in Padstow for many years on holiday however , somehow we have missed the Pickwick Inn until now. We stayed for just one night and will be sure to return for longer next time. From the moment we arrived and welcomed by the very friendly staff we knew we had made a good decision. The bedrooms are spacious and have amazing views over the estuary. The rooms are comfortable, well furnished and the local soaps in the bathroom are a great touch. We had an evening meal in the restaurant where the staff were so helpful and friendly. The food was first class. Likewise the breakfast was excellent and the views over the estuary makes it a good start to the day. A great mix of hotel, local pub and nice restaurant. Fantastic !

Delicious food & attentive service. We booked our reservation easily online. Staff were friendly yet professional. Food was absolutely delicious. We had 3 of the specials that were on offer and one meal off the main menu. Desserts - what can I say the best chocolate brownie with home made honeycomb, and the sticky toffee pudding with clotted cream was also fantastic We arrived whilst it was still light so we had the gorgeous view out over to Rock. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be visiting again.

Stunning views with beautiful food. We were there over 2.5 hours, service was friendly but a little slow (there were a couple of larger parties in) but that wouldn’t put us off from going back to visit again.

The best outside Padstow went twice for Sunday lunch and it just got better!!! We normally go the mariners at Rock but omg this is the best at a third of the price

Highly recommend. We stayed three nights, food and service for breakfasts and evening meals was second to none. Bar area so comfortable and welcoming. Accommodation really lovely with stunning views of Padstow and Rock from our balcony. Everything was exactly as we needed it to be, so quiet and peaceful and we will definitely be back. Fabulous place. Huge thx ?

Great big Sunday roast dinner and pudding - we ate the lot. Great location and views although we were in the bar as we had a dog. Lovely old pub and good service.

We stayed at the Inn and dined at Oliver's Restaurant. It was lovely from start to finish. We had two dogs, which the hotel welcomed. The room was huge, as was the bathroom. For an overnight stopover, we could not ask for more. Hand soap is the only request we could have possibly made.
