What a lovely little place. We dropped in during the Christmas period for a bite to eat. The staff were lovely and the food was too.

Very nice little bistro. Had a Latisha lunch today with my partner (as a relief from the rain). It was absolutely delicious. We both had a ciabatta with ham, avocado and egg and it came with salsa, coleslaw and rice. I’m not a “rice” person but it was very tasty. Nice music and a friendly owner. Would recommend.

Beautiful place. Really good coffee and fresh cakes.
We visited here twice whilst on a few days break. The first visit was pleasant but only had coffee. Service was attentive and great. The owner is pleasant and happy to recommend other eateries in Penzance. We tried the recommendations but was sadly very disappointed in all of them. We visited Hellys again for breakfast as the food looked very good on our first visit. Our breakfast was just ok quality but a little basic and frankly overpriced for the service and quality of food that we recieved. The owner was not in house. One waiter was on duty who clearly worked at one pace - slow. It was only a little busy but the service was very poor and not attentive at all. I witnessed what I can only assume we're regular clients being given priority over other waiting customers. There were two elderly ladies who arrived at the same time as us and only had their order taken as we left and after we had ordered, eaten and paid our bill. That is pretty poor to me and I felt so sorry for them. I asked the waiter 3 times for my bill. It didn't arrive. The 4th time I had to demand he get our bill which he did. I know there only human, but it was clear to see this waiter clearly preferred dealing with regular clients. I would like to say I will go back but sadly I don't think it is an option we will be taking up.

Found this delightful bistro by chance on an adhoc visit to Penzance. Ideally situated close to bus and train station overlooking the harbour. Served a delicious roast dinner, served by friendly, cheerful staff. They have an extensive menu for snacks or mains. Can thoroughly recommend a visit, you won’t be disappointed

DISGUSTING. Went here for Sunday lunch with my Wife & Daughter. The food was inedible, too salty, I ordered gammon,....it was awful, my Wife had chicken and my Daughter had beef, all were too salty, the vegetables that came with it looked like they had been heated in a microwave, all mashed together. Complained but the staff were not interested. Save your money and fined another restaurant.
Great place friendly
Great coffee
