Very comfortable and great screen, odd rules about what one can eat, are people really that fussy?

Great little cinema with a nice bar/restaurant and comfortable seats showing lots of independent filmmakers work.

The restaurant is worth a visit in its own right. (The cinema is also great). Good food freshly cooked, good menu, lovely staff, very pleasant atmosphere and surroundings. Interesting building. No rustling or scrunching policy in the cinema. Such a great venue for Newlyn

My dream filmhouse. Fabulous choice of films - always - in comfortable and inspiring environment. Staff well-informed and super-friendly. Atmospheric bar and restaurant with mesmerising views of the Coombe River. Can't get enough of it. Thank heavens I live near-by.

Staff was very helpful and friendly! Amazing local cinema!

I can’t believe there is a cinema like this one. Loved the experience from start to finish. The friendly staff, the intimate and independent feel, the small viewing room, the option to sit in a couch, with your drink from the bar…so grateful someone decided to offer this. A gem if you are in Newlyn and want to experience living like one of the locals with an independent spirit.

Do not buy gift vouchers from Newlyn Filmhouse unless you are absolutely sure the recipient will be able to use them. Unfortunately they’ve taken a massive hard line for a request for an extension. We only asked for one months extension for £60 worth of vouchers - it wouldn’t cost them anything, their attitude was immovable and unacceptable as a local business.Totally disappointing, expected far more Savoy in Penzance, next time!

Great cinema! Fantastic quality, great seats and a well behaved audience.

Thoroughly enjoyed my experience watching Oppenheimer. The row E with the extra legroom was amazing. Super helpful front of house and lovely people (company on the row was amazing).

Only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because of the lack of popcorn. I get you don't want noise but honestly what's a cinema experience without devouring a box of the good stuff.

Great idea, awful reality. We came a couple of weeks ago to see a film and have dinner, film was fine, apart from the only food available to take into showing was a tiny £3 ice cream!! The restaurant was a mess, small young blonde woman who we assumed was the manager due to her bossing around the clearly unhappy staff, was passive aggressive and her unnecessarily stressed nature (the restaurant was dead) brought about an uncomfortable atmosphere in the whole restaurant. The waitress that served us was very friendly, the food was fine but over priced for what it was. It’s a shame but I would only recommend if you want to see a film.

Lovely environment, comfortable seats, and warm room, but the waiting area is a bit too small.

Fantastic programming. Wonderful food. Love the no crinkle snack policy. Great bar. So wish I lived closer.

The food is disgusting, pretty sure the sausage pasta gave me food poisoning. God knows why i chose sausage pasta or why that was even on the menu but let me tell you i regret it - i was ill for the rest of my holiday! Manager was also very rude

Lovely cinema but terrible staff and management, the girl with the glasses who works in the cafe was very rude and I saw a rat in the restaurant area.
