Very small wetherspoons, very run down and scruffy. Came for food after a long train journey late on a Sunday. Lots of drunk people very loud, looked like they had too much to drink. Food was usually bog standard ,filled a hole. Was very expensive compared to wetherspoons in North wales. Would come again if in the area and couldn't find anywhere else better.

Staff quick and friendly, however that's where it ends, full of young late teens, screaming and shouting, two males coursing trouble and the door staff stood watching doing nothing, drugs passed around blatantly. Such a

Went here on Saturday and Sunday as we're on a long weekend visit. Saturday it was stormy weather and customers looked depressed in this tired and scruffy pub. Sunday things were worse, with tired kids and stressed out parents. We had to weave in between buggies to find a seat. The toilets are dreadfully inadequate with seats kicked off and useless door locks. But the staff are doing their best and I can't and wouldn't find fault with them.

The toilets are absolutely disgusting. The first one had no toilet paper, the other was closed and the last one had a smashed seat with sh1t smeared all over it. Makes you wonder what the kitchen looks like. Next time that I pop I will take a photo for all to see.

I often visit Cornwall 2-3 times a year. This place always disappoints. 75% of the staff are horrendous. Their attitudes are disgraceful especially if you come from out of Cornwall visiting. Service is diabolical, they serve their friends before they serve strangers. They are only acting how the manager acts I suppose. He seems to spend more time in the office. Never resolved any issues, just pacifies them. If they don’t like you, they disappear into the kitchen area as not to serve you. If you want to know anything that’s happened in there, you’ll know about it as the young people behind the bar chat about all that’s happened the night before at top of their voices which is off putting. Place is always got food strewn across the place, tables full of clutter and you have to ask them to clean. It’s not exactly a big Wetherspoons either, one of the smaller ones. The saying “wipe your feet on the way out” springs to mind.Parking: You’ll be lucky to find any parking.

This wetherspoons is quite small and tables as are very close together it is very difficult to even get to the bar. Food is very expensive and as all wetherspoons you can get better quality and prices elsewhere. Wetherspoons were know for good prices on food and drinks but not any more.

Good wetherspoons but VERY busy. Was quite hard to get in with a pushchair, so I expect it would be quite difficult with a wheelchair.Food and drink standard wetherspoons. Cheap and cheerful.Loads of tabled crammed into the space.Staff at the till were friendly.

It's a spoons, this one I found dark poor lighting. On our visit there was so many tables not cleared. Maybe understaffed. But what staff were there were friendly. Food ok you get what you pay for.

Nice pub, friendly staff and it's a wetherspoons food always nice.

Excellent food and service, quiet enough to have a conversation.Parking: Causeway head about 25 spaces, can be full and Penalverne short stay 39+ spaces. Within 10/15 minutes walk.
Good for reasonable price, with friendly staff and service.

We love spoons, but this place is awful. My wine glass was filthy but didn't notice until I got to my table. The barmaid struggled to pull a pint of guinness. We didn't go in again. Would rather pay more for a decent drink in a clean glass. Mr Martin needs to sort this dive out!

I come to visit my daughter about 4 times a year and always pop in this pub ,all the staff have always been lovely polite and helpful until today , a young lady with blue hair served me and has to be the most sullen and rude bar staff I've seen in there ,there was absolutely no personal skills whatsoever and totally unwelcoming, unsmiling I like this pub otherwise

Not bad food, the only issue was that the menu was limited? I guess it had been a busy day what with the bank holiday weekend.

As with any Wetherspoons, prices are good, quality of drinks is very good and food is as you would expect - good and inexpensive. Let down by a slow member of staff at the bar.
