I was so happy to see the notice up about cooking in beef dripping. I find it embarrassing to have to ask. Unfortunately I cannot eat rapeseed oil and almost all places use it in their fryers. This is literally the only place I can get chips from in town. Thankfully they're really nice chips! ??. The lady and gentlemen serving were polite and friendly. Will definitely be returning.

Went to this chip shop yesterday, the staff especially Andy was very rude in his attitude. The food was so greasy and so very expensive!!!, portions were so small that they looked like a child’s portion. I’ve also put a review on trip advisor. I would never go back to this chip shop, be warned stay away!!!!My reply to your reply, we was in there yesterday I’ll have you know. Ok maybe I got the name wrong but the man who served us was a short older man with glasses, this isn’t a fake review just look at all the others!!

Fish and chips x 2 expensive! But that’s fine, as we’re actually ok. What I have an objection to and can only re illiterate previous comments - was the rudeness!!!! Can I have them open please - no they have to be wrapped. Can I add my own salt and vinegar - so we don’t allow that - not since Covid. Waiting, which was ok as they were being cooked fresh - ‘told to wait outside’ they had a tannoy system! ?? After waiting and feeling cold, returned back in after 10 or so mins to be told need to go back outside - I said I would wait. Told well this isn’t yours?!?! But it was! Then asked if the fork was in the back - questioned - you want a fork?????? ?? which was handed by tongs!!! So ok - Covid is still around but why is it ok for you to handle my food without gloves and without using a mask?!!!!! Not very nice people at all and certainly didn’t deserve my £20!!!!!

Visited evening time for takeaway. Slow service by irritated older couple, both with mobility issues. Overpriced and despite sign to contrary, chips were greasy and limp.No room to stand after ordering and extraction was so poor I came out wanting to shower to get rid of acrid cooking smells.Do not recommend at all and will not visit ever again.

Greasy, over cooked dry fish. The fish was so dry inside. It was swimming in grease. It was super expensive and not a lot of food for it. A regular portion of chips was so small a child would have still been hungry. Wish we would have gone elsewhere now. So gutted as was craving this since we got here.

All staff except the chef were unprofessional, me and my wife cannot eat fish contaminated with other foods such as pork and beef dripping due to religious reasons. Andy and the other lady inside were threatening when explained this to them, didn’t want to listen, and even locked the door on other customers, keeping them locked inside the building. Andy is a known person in Perranporth for horrible behaviour and customer service. The notice for the dripping was covered and yet Andy, despite camera footage proving him wrong, still wanted to argue, and throw his hands up into my wife’s face. I wouldn’t come here, and I wouldn’t expect Andy to ever change his horrific behaviour.

Lost for words, worst experience iv ever had. the chips was soggy and the foot long sausage was absolutely revolting please avoid, The quality was less than one star and the rude old over weight man was out of this world. Avoid and go to the other chippy,, ,, just ripping tourist off. Your response says it all thanks for showing your true ,, I walked into your hole of a chip shop and asked if I could have them open I think its you who lies my little sad man try and give your shop a clean instead of eating all your profits.It's 3.3 ⭐ because that's what it deserves. The first thing that was said to us was ‘don’t serve just chips only set menu’ in a very rude tone. We explained we wanted meals and then we’re treated very differently. However the portion size was absolutely shocking and very very pricey. The hilarious part of our experience was seeing so many people turned away simply because they wanted some chips.. at a chippy ? One lady said ‘I don’t like fish, I just fancied some chips’ and the lady serving her actually said in a horrible tone ‘well we do sausages and pies’. They turned away two ladies with prams saying there was no room.. yet we were sat there with a pram! Go here for the comedy as we thought it was great ? Never seen such rude service in all my life. Have to see it to believe.

Absolutely horrible experience, awful customer service. they don’t know how to greet or talk to customers, constant shouting in mine and my husbands face and using aggressive and threatening language. locked customers inside the shop and didn’t even bother to hear us out instead just kept walking away from us as well as him putting his hands in our faces. they also locked us out and closed the shop at 2pm when closing time is 7pm since they didn’t have even the slight bit of decency to have a conversation with us as well as the fact that they kept lying to us both him and the other woman there. i would never recommend anyone to go here and be disrespected the way me and my husband were especially since we were only here for a couple of days and shouldnt have been treated the way we were at all since we were nothing but calm and respective towards them. absolutely shocked by this since all other shops near them are so sweet and kind. But this is the one place i would recommend no one to go to as they have no respect for anyone. They are straight up rude and racist as well as very unprofessional and unhelpful.

Shocking. Awful customer service. We were a table of 10, and were seen as an inconvenience. The place was empty but we couldn't pick a table so we could all comfortably sit together. We were told we were picky because we asked for swaps to be made to our breakfast. Rude. Grubby. Bad smell and would not recommend.

Another bad review here. We bought a fish and chips lunch to take away and eat with with friends yesterday. We live in Cornwall and this was the worst fish and chips we’ve ever had.They had a special listed of hake at £9 for a regular potion. I thought great - local fish instead of Icelandic cod. When asked if it’s Cornish the answer was no.To add insult to injury the staff are surly and the prices much higher than other fish and chip shops across Cornwall. We know the local prices as we are not tourists down for the week.Wish we had had time to check the reviews here before ordering.
