The quality of the food was really nice. Had a few issues, Table booked for 6.30pm , apparently 200 people had a roast. Beef, Gammon, Turkey, what was on offer was beef and chicken. Instead of suggesting the carvery was low, we ordered, nothing was made aware the carvery was low, sign on on the way up was advertising Beef, Gammon, Turkey, unfortunately they just had beef and chicken to replace the turkey, the stuffing was burnt, dried up and been there a long time, chef said he could not do anything and offered me an extra few slices of beef. He said they could not take too much meat out, as this will cause wastage and the business will go under, specials for the day after, chef said specials was already planned. Lady bar staff said carvery stops at 7pm, but on website and big sign by main door clearly states to 8pm ? , 7.10 pm still serving carvery. Very disappointed. The chef should of beem in contact with staff to say low on meats. As it's a bit expensive, there's no offer of some money back, just a free pint pf coke.

Absolutely amazing!!! my Dad ordered plain nachos for my mum, although she did not want jalapeños she did want the chicken and chorizo so the manager personally went above and beyond and the dish re appeared and I was left feeling jealous

We had the most amazing meal this evening from the specials board. A lovely fillet steak with gratin potatoes , fried mushrooms, parsnips and kale with a red wine jus. Melt in the mouth full of flavour compliments to the chef totally recommend ?

Food was really good, everyone on our table got different dishes and they were all lovely, reasonably priced as well. Only complaint would be that to use the disabled toilet you have to leave the pub and go around the building and it is in a shed in the beer garden, and when I say shed I mean a wooden garden shed. They obviously have to have disabled facilities, but it wasn't very fun having to help my family member around there in the rain between courses. Just an inconvenience to consider for anyone visiting who needs disabled facilities.

Arrived on Saturday for the start of our week in Perranporth. Now I've been visiting for several years now and been here before (last meal was there Sunday carvery and that was bloody awesome) so the reason we chose to eat here and also dog friendly. I had the steak the wife had the burger. The chap behind the bar either needs to start smiling or find a job he likes because he wasn't very friendly. Food arrived and was very disappointed. Most sides were cold except the mushrooms they were red hot. Steak seemed like a very cheap cut, and the wife's burger was overcooked (dogs seemed to enjoy it though) certainly not worth the money. And not busy, so that can't be an excuse. Sorry, but we've avoided this all week now.

Come here every Sunday if we are in Cornwall without fail. Never had a bad roast! Anyone we've brought here always rates it 10/10.We travel up and down the country for work and this is still hands down the best carvery you can get. Staff are always run off there feet but always polite and willing to help you out anyway they can.

My wife and I visited the Tywarnhayle Inn for the Sunday carvery and honestly it was amazing! I called up during the day and asked to book, however they said they were fully booked, the staff member did say that there are sometimes tables around so we chanced it, and I’m so glad we did. We ordered the regular carvery but it was huge! The beef was cooked perfectly, the gammon was lovely and the selection of veg was amazing. Staff was very friendly. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we rebooked for the monday Quiz Night. When we came back, we had the nachos each, as well as the garlic mushrooms to share. The nachos are probably the best we’ve ever had, they were epically big, honestly huge. The garlic mushrooms were to die for as well, the sauce was so moorish! Highly recommend visiting!

We called in for a family carvery meal, the food was good (remember that) but the experience could have been better. I was given a regular plate for my large carvery (they claimed they explained this to me at the time, but I didn't hear/understand). When others in my party returned with larger plates, I went and asked what the difference between a large and a regular carvery was and I was told, by the server, it was just the size of the plate; nothing about getting more meat or anything. So I left with the impression that the amount of meat was the same between regular and large, and this created the feeling of having paid more than I needed to to get the same amount of food. I also thought £11 for a childs carvery was a bit too much. Will not be visiting ever again and neither I nor the owners will care.
